for this piece, i was inspired by the many videos of people walking around cities late at night, mainly ones in japan. the sound came to me naturally when i was viewing a video late one night. during the creation of this piece, i was exploding with creativity; i wanted to incorporate the scenery of by-passing lights and the sound of cars of circulating as one drives on the freeway.

Hey mum look, Im using drums for the first time! So I recently downloaded the noise app and I heard a synth that sounded like an electric guitar and thought I should put in a drum pattern. I have never used drums before nor do i know anything so I am sorry to any drummers out there who hear this poorly drumming. .

. the unnamed artwork inspired me to create a sound that could be played at a local roller derby for the broken hearted. i heard sounds from a synth many pop artists would have used in the 1980s, with a very cheap structure and simple chord play. when the song was completed, i felt as if this were a a song john maus would have felt ashamed to have created.

This is an artwork by M. C. Escher titled Concentric Rinds. When I first viewed this hypnotic art, not only did I imagine this as what Ezekiel 1 would describe an angel, but also imagined what somebody from the 19th century thought the future would be. For this, I heard mechanical sounds and heavy machines; The sound of what I heard when viewing this artwork was synths that had low octave with a grumbling snore that only an engine could make, one that was ready to build a future empire.
