We believe that within each of us, is the ability to heal and grow into our highest potential. We believe that in order to do so, we must anchor into our deepest nature and truest selves. We believe that in order to do so, we must anchor into community. We believe that in order to do so, we share our gifts, talents and wisdom with each other. We believe that in order to do so, we lift our hands to help support and encourage our siblings/sisters. We do this with a spirit of openness to the process, willingness to access the deepest, truest self, by sharing our wisdom with the community and developing a relationship of trust with our inner selves. by @theintentionalfeminine

THE LORE… A few days before hosting the riskiest, most expansive, heavy pivot iteration of one of my most beloved offerings @theintentionalfeminine I realized that 17 years TO THE DATE prior, I had launched my first large scale event, a festival celebrating “World (Hula) Hoop Day” I was a hoop dancer and organizer of “Clean Heart Hoop Troop” a rag tag group of hoop dancers on the Upstate NY Music Scene We were a flash mob, gogo dancers, entertainment for the kiddos, a community of merry makers… We were in the business of creating beauty, joy, sex appeal and wonder wherever we spun our hoops (and don’t forget getting free tickets into all the concerts we could handle HA) World hoop day was a one day festival in the local park where we met for our weekly meet-ups We had a few bands, some food, hoops for the public to use, hoop dance lessons, flow artists of all sorts, a community raffle and more I was SHOCKED by how many people came out to enjoy the day, and how successful it was Coming to the realization of this anniversary RIGHT before another landmark event, I reflected upon how the hoop was truly where it all began for me My first experiences organizing and facilitating with women was as the “Head Lioness” of the Hoop Troop Really, that’s what they called me, and I’m not to ashamed to admit I LOVED that (My Venus IS in Leo after all, so it makes TOTAL sense) I then began to teach hoop dance lessons in yoga studios and fitness centers It was in these early hoop dance facilitation experiences that I saw the deep transformation that would happen when women connected to their bodies, to their flow state, to their spirits, and to their JOY They would become brighter, bolder, more confident, empowered, more relaxed… all through the joy of the HOOP, and the community that surrounded them by @theintentionalfeminine

Thank you to each and everyone who came to share in there FIRST full weekend @theintentionalfeminine Thanks to Our attendees for trusting in the container Our practitioners, wisdom keepers, educators, facilitators, and healers for bringing their all Thanks to our team and our volunteers… without you this would NOT be possible. Thanks to the lands that held us The ancestors of the lands The Spirits of the lands Thanks to Spirit Source for breathing life breath into it all… And thanks to MYSELF for holding the vision. Thanks to Spirit for holding me down when life got real hard and I briefly thought I might loose the plot. Little did I know the plot twist would deepen the path. Spirit, you kept me focused on the mission. I’m endlessly grateful to walk in this purpose. This weekend was a dream. Endless gratitude for all y’all who came together to make it possible. We are very grateful to the Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation for bringing the Witness to Injustice Blanket Exercise to our Conference this year. This interactive teaching experience will be held Sunday morning, and teaches the effects of colonization on the indigenous peoples and lands of Turtle Island (North America). We ask that all who choose to participate in the WTI participate FULLY, and remain in the space for the entirety of the experience (about 3 hours) If you are not participating in the WTI, we ask that you remain quietly at your site, and respect the gravitas of the experience. Thank you for joining us this year! by @theintentionalfeminine
