In case anyone wondered what we should be doing today. I am just sad beyond words. Football is more than just a season in our house. Our year is two parts... football...and the rest of the year😂 Football has become our extended family where our best friends have been made. Whether we get to talk everyday or only get to see you when the lines are painted....we are missing all of our football families this opening day💚💛🏈🦅 I LOVE these boys and miss their faces!!! A year ago Cody had his first night of football practice. He LOVED it❤️. To say that it is weird not to be at the field right now hearing all the cleets hitting on the pavement, seeing families scrambling to adjust helmets and spraying down for mosquitos in the parking lot, the littles begging for money for the first fry of the season, so excited to be back playing with old and new friends in the sandbox and catching up with families that we bond with for these few short months of the year would be an understatement. I feel sick about it. I have to say I feel like I took being there for granted as I did with most of the normal daily grind of activities that my kids now sorely miss. So much of being a falcon has spilled over into our everyday lives. Football is part of our family. In season or not, our family has made some of our closest friends here at football. Friends that are Connors brothers on and off the field. I don't know what the future holds or if we will even have a chance at having a season this year...honestly I can't even think about it 🙈🙉🙊 What I do know is that when that day does come, my boys will be ready! We had a very big first day around here a couple weeks ago. My last baby started school😔 It was a very exciting with all of Cody's brothers and sisters being able to share the day with us! Cody did great! Came home the same little happy clam we sent off. It certainly helped that he had a big brother on the bus looking out for him! (Then he came home and came down with the croup, fever and missed the next week of school😞 not a fun way to start kindergarten.) and Colin was already gone in the am pics...6:45 bus😝 by @theirish_7
