submissions for The Jam Vol. XI are officially open! whether you're a returning performer or just heard about us yesterday, we want to see YOU dance. bring your work, share it with the NY/NJ dance community, then stick around to dance, connect with each other, and party the night away!

EVENT DETAILS:
📆Date: November 20th, 2026 (Fri)
⏰Time: 8PM (Tech from 5PM)
📍Location: 26 Bridge St, Brooklyn, NY

SUBMISSION RULES:
All submissions for The Jam Volume XI are due August 28th, 2026 (Friday) 11:59PM EDT.

⭐️ NEW: Number of participants: 1-8 people per act
⭐️ NEW: Time limit: Up to 6 minutes
Maximum number of sets any individual can participate in: 2
Age: 18+ for all performers (unless with adult supervision)
Participation fee: $17 per person per set
(Performers in two sets must pay for both)

NO EXCEPTIONS to the above terms!

i still can’t believe a full month has gone by without me writing this recap…oops! on september 5, 2025, i hosted my last Jam, and i can’t imagine a better way to say thank you and goodbye to this role of MC and co-producer that i’ve had the privilege of holding for the last 5(ish) years. @hanakoohashi you already know how much it means to me and how grateful i am that you trusted me with this show, your baby, and that you’ve given me the space to lead and shape the Jam through all these years.

i’m so grateful to our AMAZING team, past & present, @katievincler @meraki.bygrace @thegordonchen @j3ovanie @theacademyaint @xtina.heagney @ko_choy and our amazing volunteers past & present for making every Jam possible. it has always been a dream come true to bring people together in such a joyful way, to create connections and cross-pollination across different sectors of the dance community, and it’s been the greatest privilege of my 20s to share these triumphs and tribulations with you all. and @sanderson47, i hope you know how much i have total faith in your incredible abilities to carry the Jam forward with your MCing and funny jokes. forever bringing the energy 🫶❤️ shoutout to @alioxenfree for shooting these gorgeous film photos and being our bar queeeeeeeeen 👑👸🏻 and shoutout to @seancheesecake for always capturing these amazing group photos!!! and @fatplanediaries for the panoramic photos as well!! 📸📸

and lastly, thank you to every single person who’s ever danced in the show, submitted for a Jam, bought a ticket, sent me a kind text on show day, or even donated to the Jam in lieu of a ticket. without all y’all, we have no show. the Jam taught me that every single person plays a part; sometimes, we don’t know what part we play until the show is over and the last song is sung. here’s to many more @thejamshowcase 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 by @thejamshowcase
