Step into my world… or rather my brand reveal at the @themandrakehotel aka ideally my new home whoever would like to make that happen. I genuinely cannot believe how this all came together. The blood, sweat, tears, chocolate, mild chaos, obsessive detail spirals, intensive stress levels surrounding spreadsheets and everything in between to create something that feels like a true extension of me. Thank you to every single person who helped shape this evening and the world around it. From the leather embossed tools, to the signage, cards, portraits, tags, gift bags, photography, videography, my friends being angels behind the scenes, the Iive art and all the tiny details that made the whole thing feel so immersive and special. Special thanks to @shoreditchstudios for your support for the event and to <3, s and JWM without whom this wouldn’t have been possible. I’m bloody ecstatic, slightly overwhelmed, but excessively proud while I process the amount of love this project received. It’s a very strange and beautiful feeling to see something that lived in your head for so long suddenly become real, and even stranger to have people understand it exactly as you hoped they would. Feeling very lucky. Very grateful. And very excited for what comes next. She’s launched! I launched a brand! At the incredible @themandrakehotel, with my dearest @del_photos capturing the whole night. My heart is incredibly full. What began as an idea, a feeling, a frustration, a desire for something more nuanced and crucially more chic, has now become something real. A d0minatrix-led creative house exploring k’nk through the lens of femme power, human connection, craftsmanship, skill, design, and contemporary luxury. Human connection, skill and craftsmanship, art, play and autonomy are becoming scarce commodities in the rise of the far right and AI. Jane Grey cherishes and champions those human qualities, through B’SM and beyond. To everyone who came, supported, collaborated, encouraged me, believed in my vision, and helped shape this project into what it is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so excited to begin this next chapter. And somehow, amongst all of this, I also won SW’r of the Year at the @sexualfreedomawards. What a year so far! Tres chic. #TheGreyNotes: A tip on Control. Control isn’t about giving more instructions. If anything, it’s usually the opposite. A look held a second longer. A pause where something could be said… but isn’t. The less you rush to direct everything, the more people reveal how willing they are to follow. That’s when control stops being something you do, and becomes something they feel.
