The biggest blessing of being a barber isn’t just the craft — it’s the perspective. Let me explain…

I get to sit with creatives, entrepreneurs, and ambitious minds every day. And that chair becomes a front row seat to growth.

Reagan’s been one of those clients.

He went from chasing a dream in the golf world to diving headfirst into something new — DJing, and now this: Rare Motors Coffee, a boutique, vintage car-inspired café he built with his partner Jason.

When he first told me about it in the chair, I could tell it wasn’t just an idea. The way he explained it — the feel, the vision, the plan — it was detailed. It was real.
And that’s the difference: when your goal is that clear, it’s not just a dream anymore — it’s a map. And it’s going to happen.

Just a few weeks later, I’m standing in the space he once described — and it’s everything he said it would be.

Rare Motors is a reflection of what happens when belief meets execution. When you’re willing to let go of something good to chase something great.

Being surrounded by people like that — people who evolve, take risks, and build with intention — keeps my journey as Nelly the Barber so much richer.

This is what community looks like.
And this is why I love what I do.
