Inspired by his experiences in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, Dutch artist Saïd Kinos (@saidkinos) looked to the theme of Constant Change, and mixed his typographical work together with his collage research to create a striking silkscreen print that captures Hong Kong.

The Jaunt (@thejaunt) is the excited to release their latest print, this time with Dutch artist Saïd Kinos (@saidkinos) who traveled to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 to find new inspiration.

A few words from Saïd:
“The juxtaposition of the grime and glamour and the combination of the tropical climate mixed with metropolitan architecture. It’s such a perfect mix between east and west. The local people I met during my stay made it even better. Because of them I didn’t really feel like a tourist. Overall my experience of the city exceeded my expectations. There hasn’t been a day where I haven’t thought about Hongkong since I came home.

Before my trip there I heard a lot about “The old Hong Kong disappearing” and things of that nature. But I’m guessing that’s happening around the world. Everything changes, the only constant is change.”

Behind the scenes of the print production from our recently released Keya Tama print (@keyatama). Printed by our Tim from Atelier Haven (@atelier_haven) in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

The process of our print always shows the true international nature of our project. The print was inspired by the South African landscapes along the Garden Route, printed in The Netherlands, signed and numbered by Keya in New York, and shipped out from our office in Denmark.

The Jaunt (@thejaunt) is proud to release our long awaited print with Keya Tama (@keyatama). Out now!

Last December Keya took a road trip along the Garden Route in South Africa, an epic journey along the southern coast lines starting in Cape Town. Alongside his close friends Seth Pimentel (@african_ginger) and Johnny Allison (@johnny1allison) joined him for the trip. Creative forces united on the road. Aside from the print release, we are preparing for an exhibition that brings together all three artists and their inspiration. The exhibition is opening in December in Cape Town. More news soon.

A little word from Keya:
“My artwork was inspired by the quiet force of the land and by the way rural space can make time, memory, and atmosphere feel more present. As we drove through seemingly endless mountains, hills, valleys, and lakes, I was struck by the subtle emotions of the landscape and by the way one environment blended into the next. In these spaces, the sky, moon, sun, and stars felt less like background and more like active presences within the land, giving it a sense of stillness, scale, and quiet intensity.“

UNDERDOGS x IMINENTE EDITIONS by @cleonpeterson, @struggle_inc, and @icyandsot

Created in collaboration with @thejaunt, Cleon Peterson’s “Shame” reflects on cycles of power, violence, and revenge, while Cody Hudson’s “Human Potential Redux (Farm Land Bird Textile)” draws from the rural landscape of Wisconsin, transforming references to farmland, birds, and folk traditions through shape, colour, and repetition.

Saman & Sasan Oskouei’s “Harvest” centres on a wheat stalk broken in two, using this simple gesture to explore resilience, vulnerability, and the fragile systems on which we depend.

All three editions will also be available at the Art Store at @festivaliminente starting tomorrow, alongside works by artists taking part in this year’s festival, a special selection from the Underdogs archive, and Iminente merchandise.

@cleonpeterson and @struggle_inc are heading to Festival Iminente with @thejaunt 🪩🌎

For the occasion, both artists are releasing new limited editions:
👉 "Shame" by @cleonpeterson, exploring power, violence and cycles of domination.
👉 "Human Potential Redux (Farm Land Bird Textile)" by @struggle_inc, inspired by the landscapes and visual language of rural Wisconsin.

They will also take part in an exhibition curated by Underdogs, alongside @abelmac.

In 2020 we had planned to send Lisa Congdon (@lisacongdon) on her first Jaunt trip to Kyoto. But life had other plans. COVID-19 came around and instead of flying people to other places we found places they had never been to before closer to home.

And thus Lisa’s first trip was to the Painted Hills, in her own beloved backyard of Oregon. #Then fast forward to 2023, Japan opened up again and we were finally able to send Lisa on her way to Kyoto.

Whenever we ask people which places they would love to visit, Japan is always on the list. And that makes it one of the reasons for us to not send people to Japan and to surprise them with other destinations instead. Lisa was only the second Jaunt artist to make it to Japan.

Now, Lisa is getting ready for her third trip starting tomorrow. Working together with Lisa made it an obvious and easy choice to invite her for a third trip. This time around Lisa is going on her first ever bikepacking trip. Because of course when we asked if she would be up for that, she jumped at the chance and went right into planning mode. Again, she’ll be exploring her beloved Oregon, while even biking into Northern California as well. It’s going to be an epic ride and we are incredibly excited to be able to follow along on her journey.

The Jaunt (@thejaunt) is super excited to welcome back Lisa Congdon (@lisacongdon) for her third trip, and this one being a very special trip!

Next week, Lisa will head for the Tour of the Giants trail in Oregon. This trail is a stunning 270 miles long, or 440 km long for the Europeans amongst us, bike packing trail. Lisa will be joined by two biking friends of hers and together they will bring everything they need on their bikes to cycle the complete length of this trail in 5 days time.

It’s going to be an adventure, and we are so stoked to play a part of it and follow along on Lisa’s ride. Thank you Lisa!

ONE AND DONE is a group show of fourteen final remaining hand-pulled silkscreen prints selected directly from The Jaunt archives.
