JazzArts Charlotte is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of a longtime friend, renowned New Orleans trombonist and Preservation Hall Jazz Band member, Ronell Johnson. Ronell brought tremendous joy to the JAZZ ROOM stage many times over the years during the JAZZ ROOM Holiday Edition featuring the Preservation Hall All-Stars. He has always been a fan-favorite and beloved by our JazzArts Academy students. He will be greatly missed by all who experienced his brilliantly soulful musicianship and his warm and joyful spirit, which includes music lovers from around the world. by @thejazzarts
