Sometimes, God will put you in a season where your skills aren’t enough. You’ll have to learn humility, adaptability, and how to carry a vision that isn’t your own.

I had to learn this firsthand.

After navigating three different roles in one organization, I realized God was doing more in me than He was doing through me.

He was refining my character and preparing me for what’s next.

As technology continues to change how we work and lead, adaptability is becoming more important than ever. But how do we adapt to a changing world without compromising our convictions?

I explore this through my personal experience and the story of Daniel in my latest Substack article.

Stop living for other people’s approval. 👇🏾

I used to overthink everything I did, wondering, “What are people going to think? Are they going to cancel me? Did I mess up?”

But here’s what I had to learn: If you live for other people’s approval, you’ll die by their rejection.

The truth is, we all have a desire to be accepted, affirmed, and approved of. But you can’t let that desire keep you from becoming who God created you to be.

God gave you a unique story, unique gifts, and a unique purpose. The world doesn’t need another version of somebody else. It needs the person God created YOU to be.

So stop shrinking. Stop second-guessing every move. Stop letting the fear of what people might think keep you from showing up as yourself.

You really ARE HIM. You really ARE HER.🔥

Now walk in it. Be who God created you to be.

One of my old mentors used to say, “What got you here isn’t gonna keep you here.”

I’ve been thinking about that a lot in this season of transition.

Every transition requires a reset.

Your habits, your routines, your spiritual disciplines, even some of your relationships….

I’m learning that you can’t keep trying to build your next season with the same things that sustained your last one.

Sometimes you need to reset.

Trying to give your children the childhood you never had is the hardest thing ever.

A lot of days, it can feel like you’re failing, but give yourself grace.

You are building something you’ve never seen before.

You’re creating an environment you never experienced yourself, but you don’t have to do it by yourself.

God will give you the strength and the ability to love and lead them.

Believe it or not, he actually loves them more than you ever could.

Invite Jesus in and let his spirit lead you as you lead them.

You can do this.

Nobody told me parenting 3 kids under 3 would be THIS hard. 😪

Constant chaos, never ending to do list, always tired and running out of patience….

But honestly, I’m starting to believe there’s nothing quite like parenting that exposes what’s really in you.

It forces me to develop the fruit of the spirit.
And when I miss the mark I get another opportunity to repent and try again.

God isn’t just raising our children through us, he is using them to form us into his likeness. by @thejelanisanders

They told you Christianity is the “white man’s religion.”

But that idea isn't new.

In the 1930s, the Nation of Islam emerged in America and eventually became a major force within Black religious and cultural life.

The Nation of Islam challenged Christianity and taught a very different view of race, religion, and America. Some of its teachings included the idea that white people were “devils” and that Christianity was the religion of the white man.

Fast forward to today, and we’re seeing growing Muslim influence and renewed tension between Jews, Muslims, and Christians.

History has a way of repeating itself.

But as Christians, how should we respond?

Not with Islamophobia. Not with fear.

But with truth, wisdom, and a clear understanding of what we believe.

Faith makes you move different.

I wasn’t always locked in with Jesus. But when I truly encountered Him, I realized following him would require me to move different.

And I believe the same is true for how we reach people.

The average skeptical person isn’t going to come sit in our Sunday service. So we have to be willing to have real conversations, understand why people believe what they believe, engage culture, and meet people where they are.

If we want to effectively share the gospel, we can’t just expect people to come to us. We have to be willing to go to them.

Jesus said:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to
THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.”
— Acts 1:8

I’ve noticed a lot of Christian podcasters and preachers have been talking about the growth of Islam.

So I started looking into some of the data myself and shared some of my own experiences and thoughts on why I think Islam is growing while many people are leaving the Church.

I’ll be honest, some of these thoughts are very controversial.

But I think we need to have these conversations!

We need better conversations about what’s happening in culture and current events. And as believers, we need to view these moments through a Christ-centered lens.
