Last set from my Drolta, Castlevania photoshoot with my besties Jenna & Camillo. 🩷🖤

I had a lot of fun making this Drolta wig. I sewed in a ton of tracks to the base wig to add length and fullness. I decided to do a swirl pattern instead of the traditional braids the character has. I felt it would make the look a little more animated and it allowed me to add rhinestones which under stage lights give a little bit of the flame appearance the anime has. The swirls also made it easier to set the horns I’d crafted.

I’d definitely rushed the last half of the wings since it took a while for the foam to dry, but they photographed great. 🦇 We wanted to get a few pics without the wings, which was great, because it was so hot in my garage where we did the photoshoot. lol

As a huge fan of Castlevania, I was so stoked when Nocturne dropped on Netflix. Even more so when Drolta appeared. So sinister, stunning and fierce. Each look was so striking, her character evolution was insane, and @elarica took Drolta even further with her incredible voice work.

When my besties Jenna & Camillo said they were coming in to town and wanted to work in a photoshoot, I knew immediately I wanted to do a Drolta cosplay.

As it was Pride month and insanely busy, I definitely had to rush the vision, and make a few creative sacrifices with the costume, but I am still so proud of how everything turned out. Legit was sewing the gloves right up until it was time to take the pictures. lol

I could not have done this without Jenna & Camillo. It was 106 degrees the day of the photoshoot. We had a very limited window of time to do the pics before we headed out to SF for a concert but we pulled it off. We had so much fun, we kept each other laughing and we made magic happen. I always trust them with my vision, and they always deliver! Love you both!

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of seeing @thepeacheschrist on tour through Rochester with @theminkstole for the farewell tour of Idol Worship. While Peaches was in town, we had the opportunity to do another photoshoot!

We also returned last week from photographing Terror Vault for the second year in a row. What an incredible experience! Can't wait for everyone to show our sets of what the cast and crew cooked up this year.

We're insanely grateful to have had these opportunities. While it sounds corny, the best part for us are all of the amazing people we've met through these experiences. We feel like we're a part of a queer family from coast-to-coast and it fills our black hearts with joy.

Forever grateful for the art we created with our friends in Oakland. While we can take credit for the lighting and editing of each photo, the insane talent to pull together a look like this is something @missqueeranightly excelled at. We're so very happy for all the success she's having overseas, but we're also grateful that our lives crossed with hers (and all of our friends we meet) for the year we spent on in the Bay area.

This is our last work from the Bay... for how. We're returning in June for terror vault! See you west coast ghoulies then!
