Everyone has a different rhythm.

Find yours.

Don’t force someone else’s pace.
Work with your own until it becomes honest. Train your attention.
The line may look flawless, but it comes from mistakes, corrections, trying again.

That’s the beauty people see.

May Hashem bless the work of your hands, and may your light shine bright ✨ by @thejerusalemscribe

The first perfection felt right... until I met the higher one. Now I can’t settle for less 💎

Striving for Godliness in this world is an almost paradox of lacking and fulfillment 💪

Golden Hei ה to keep us honest ;)

Chanan Hebrew name meaning: Chet, Nun, final Nun, explained with the Jerusalem scribe

Chanan teams up with the Jerusalem scribe to unpack the Hebrew name חנן, one letter at a time.

In the Torah’s tradition, Hashem formed the universe through 22 sacred letters. A Hebrew name built from those letters carries deep spiritual meaning tied to the person who bears it.

The letters of Chanan:
Chet: life force, the number eight, beyond nature.
Nun (bent): humility in falling, and the strength to get back up.
Final Nun (upright): the righteous standing firm in truth.

Save this to learn the meaning of your own Hebrew name. Share it with someone named Chanan. Follow @chanan.returns and @thejerusalemscribe for more Hebrew letters and names from Jerusalem.

Shabbat Shalom! 🕊️

Did Avraham really leave God to welcome strangers?

Not at all.

Avraham saw Hashem in the world with his own eyes, recognizing that caring for his guests was an extension of his connection to God, not an interruption.

What’s your favorite lesson from this week’s parsha?

Vessel inside a vessel 🏺

There is a biblical secret of how to turn a little into abundance and their is a human err of turning abundance into a little.

Believe in yourself
And remember…

Never, ever, give up 💪🏼

That is my blessing to you by @thejerusalemscribe

The flood of Noah started today on the 17th of Cheshvan 4,131 years ago! 🚢

In the verse Hashem told Noach to "come into the ark," the Hebrew word used—Teva תיבה—also means ״word״.

The Baal Shem Tov uses this verse to explain the power of prayer 🤲🏼
To enter the ark means to step inside the words of our prayers.

When we pray with real intention, our words become a vessel and sanctuary—connecting us directly to Hashem and sheltering us from the floods of the world.

Step into the words you speak and begin fixing the world around you🌍 💪🏽 by @thejerusalemscribe

“Faces of Love”

This piece features two faces written from Song of Songs (written by King Solomon) and a surrounding border of the ‘Blessing for the Home’ (Birkat HaBeit)!

The two faces are written with verses that are part of the ongoing love story, speaking of the relationship between romantic individuals but ultimately we learn about our relationship with God through our relationships with one another.

For anyone who wants to purchase a custom art piece like this, there is an open space to inscribe their and their significant other’s names into the piece. by @thejerusalemscribe

Don’t settle where you are when you were meant for the Promised Land. ✨

In Parashat Lech Lecha, Hashem tells Avraham to go “for your own good.” But if his family had already started heading toward the land earlier, why did Hashem need to step in and command him now?

Because Avraham had stopped and settled in Charan. He needed that chizuk, that extra push of divine encouragement, to not get comfortable halfway through his journey.

We often don’t realize how or why we ended up on a certain path, but Hashem is in every detail of the process.

Whenever you feel stuck or tempted to settle for less than your true potential, remember: Hashem wants you to reach your destination, and He will always provide the strength and guidance to get you there.

Shabbat Shalom! 🕯️🤍 by @thejerusalemscribe

The greatest distance in the world can unfortunately be the space between a man’s mouth and his heart 💙 🧠

But yet that connection is the essence of prayer, to combine man’s two greatest faculties in service greater than him/her self.

This artwork could just as easily be bought by an art collector as appreciated by a Torah scholar.

In my imagination the doodles of my mind become the binding force between the profound and classical.

Did you notice that the mouth is made from the letters פי meaning my mouth, and the heart is shaped from letters לב meaning heart🤩

Thats part of the integration, connecting content with design and profound meaning with playfulness.

Perhaps the art collector doesn’t need to know all these lofty ideas, perhaps it is the simple man who identifies the hidden meaning of sacred worship.

May the words of my mouth, and the prayer of my heart be acceptable to You, O Eternal One, my rock and my redeemer

✨ Inspired by an ancient Shiviti Menorah from Hebron’s Ma’arat HaMachpelah. Psalm 67 shaped into the Temple Menorah 🕎 —a prayer for blessing, light, and a world restored. Around it, sacred letters and Divine names whisper Tikkun Olam ✨ the light we receive is meant to be shared. by @thejerusalemscribe

Without or within?? 🧐

The paradox is that you are never alone and Hashem is always alone.

Turn off your device, shut your door closed, sit alone in silence and realize… you are never alone ✨
Hashem is always with you 💪🏽

אין עוד מלבדו “Their is none besides Hashem”

There is only one who is alone… the Almighty One, Hashem. We are within His embrace always, and forever.

This leads me to humility, gratitude and a deep sense of being led by an unseen yet all knowing force.

Thank you Hashem 🙌✨🔥🙏 by @thejerusalemscribe
