How it started vs how it ended 🫶🏼

I was not planning to get baptized at all today lol headed straight to work after church, no change of clothes with me, face full of make up 😂 I didn’t know it would even be an option but sometimes when God calls, you just have to answer.

I been dedicated on this faith walk for about 3-4 years now and you would think it gets easier with time but if I’m honest some days it feels tougher. Tougher to stay on the right track no matter what comes your way. It’s one thing when you’re out in the world and you just don’t think/care about how you’re living. It’s different when you WANT to walk with God and live a life that pleases him but you know you constantly fall short.

But I find so much joy and peace in knowing that nothing can separate me from His love. This was a full circle moment for me. I was baptized by my oldest brother, my pastor @preacherjoby1 , I’m the baby of our family, Jobe 🫶🏼. Our dad’s birthday is tomorrow - that’s the original JOBY JONES lol. I felt like God touched everything before us, between us & after us in one move.

Baptized right across the street from the two places I literally have my earliest memories of life - first apartment in the King of Kings & my first elementary school, King Elementary. Knowing just how far God has brought me over the years.

God is a redeemer of time forreal. Everything I thought I lost, everything that’s felt delayed, and everything I’m still hoping for I know it’s found in Jesus Christ.

God has given me a lot since I’ve been walking with Him, and nothing I show is ever a boast in myself but truly a boast in the Lord. A boast in the new life He’s given me. I’m grateful to even have an opportunity to lay my life down and come up New 🫶🏼 by @thejobeway

My 2024 vision board led with the scripture Psalm 65:11 “You crown the year with your goodness” and THAT He did 🥹 But I can’t really talk about the fullness of 2024 without sharing a little about where I was in 2023. God truly brought me out of darkness into his marvelous light 🤍

2025 I’m so happy to be here. To have the relationship with Christ that I have. To watch God completely blow my mind. To have my health and my family and all the things He has blessed me with. I’m believing for total restoration this year and for His promises to continue to show up as YES and AMEN.

Happy Birthday to my angel face!!! My twin 😂🥰 and SHADOW 😭 You are truly one of a kind the only kid I know with an alter ego lol we never know if we’re gonna get Ms Sevyn Christian or MONA JONES so we all just tread lightly with you 😂😂

In Mark 2:17 Jesus said “I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance”

It’s a reminder God is not looking for perfection. He’s just looking for a willing heart 🤍

Not gonna lie life has gotten good these last several months and I found myself not as disciplined in my daily reading & prayer time. I’ve asked God how I can stay just as committed in times of success as I was when I felt like my life was falling apart. Then all of a sudden it seemed like left and right my friends and loved ones were experiencing hardship after hardship that was really weighing on me too and I kept trying to figure out what my role was in all of it. Then it came to me, “Pray for them like you were praying for you. Pray like their life depends on it, just like you knew yours did” So I’m back in my prayer closet yal, literally lol willing and ready to intercede for myself and everyone connected to me. I want us all to win 🤍
