One of the most treasured gifts I’ve ever received was this jar of Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing balm, inscribed on the lid with the words “The Joy of Skincare.” Because - in no specific order - (a) it’s pink (and it just so happens that #onwednesdayswewearpink) AND smells like a dream; (2) I LOVE cleansing balms; and (d) I don’t need a washcloth to rinse it off (👍👍). Not to mention, it has my IG handle printed on the lid! 💗 I never talk about my IG account IRL (I know that has something to go with fear of people’s judgment, and I’m working on that). But, the fact that I never mention this account makes it all the more special that my dear friends would recognize that this skincare thing is something I really dig. And, on a really strange level, help me “legitimize” my thoughts about my hobby. So, with all my heart, I thank you, Luna, Marcela and Jeff, for this cherished gift. 💗

The great Andrew @skinbyask once said that the “best anti-aging mask” is Biologique Recherche Masque Creme Biofixine. And, from that moment, I knew I had to get my hands on some of that goodness. Meant to be deeply hydrating, lifting, and smoothing, this mask also can serve as either a wash-off mask OR a leave-on cream. Similar to Masque Creme Vernix. But not as thick, and with more of a VIP 02 consistency. I’ve been using it as a sleeping mask - the final step in my night routine. Because of its creamy, slightly-chalky-but-in-the-best-possible-way texture, I think of it as the icing on my skincare routine cake. Has any of you tried this one?

Sachi Skin’s Ursolic Acid & Retinal Overnight Reform is a beautiful product. From its airless pump, to its inclusion of the telomerase activator milk thistle, to another of its hero ingredients - the rare, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, collagen-production-stimulant that is Ursolic Acid (with which I first became smitten when I years ago discovered the delicious Zelens 3T Complex) - this highly-active night cream is as elegant as you’d expect from its brilliant and fabulous creator, Farah @beamwonder. I’ve been using this Overnight Reform since April in the rotating retinol/retinal/retinoid routine slot and my routine, and on nights when I use it, I often skip an oil on top, as I find it moisturizing enough as the top layer of my routine.

I was 100% influenced by Stéphanie @vanille446 to buy these beautiful soaps from Skin Alchemists, and I’m so happy to have been so influenced. The two on the right are Aleppo (front) and Goats Milk, Oats and Honey (back), and I’m hoping they will be helpful with my youngest’s eczema. Up front on the left is Sundown, and it’s for me! I’m currently enjoying its creamy lather, soothing aloe, and beautiful scent. Posing behind Sundown is Cafe Latte, a combo cleanser-exfoliator with shea butter and olive oil. I’ve yet to try that one, but I’m excited to have it. I hope you’re all having a great weekend!

I came across this pic from three-ish years ago, of me helping my littlest with something, and it made me realize that I had never really appreciated being able to kneel on the ground without a second thought until I whacked my knee sledding this winter, and only over the course of months gradually regained my ability to crouch down oh so slowly, and now finally more smoothly. ✨✨✨ But, to the point (!), as my BIL would say if it were my sister rambling rather than I, what’s helped me more than I expected it would was the Milk Makeup CBD + Arnica Solid Body Oil. No surprise given the name, - this solid oil has 100 mg of broad-spectrum CBD and arnica for healing. My @ziipbeauty is still my number one #iwontleavehomewithoutit, but BOY does the @bellaauraskin Gravity Reverse Beauty Sculptor feel good as I draw it along my jawline, face and neck... it has a light suction effect as it moves, and it’s really delightful. If you have tried it, would you please let me know if you’ve seen any lifting effects? 😘

Just as everything else I’ve tried from Kjaer Weis, their toner is beautiful. From the minimalist-yet-heavy glass packaging to the excellent ingredients (prickly pear, lavender, caper, olive leaf, etc.) to the light, sweet scent, to its ability to gently add moisture at the post-cleansing stage of my routine, it’s beautiful throughout. I only warn that the “misting” mechanism is more of a “fire hose” nozzle. Which just means that I spray into my hands and dab on my face. 🥰

Confession: Sometimes I wear a CC cream or other color correction/sunscreen combo instead of a dedicated sunscreen, even at the beach! Please don’t banish me from the #skincarecommunity. P.S. Code of Harmony Sativus Toning Mist has a cucumber water base with CBD and a short and fittingly refreshing inci list. ✨✨✨ Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) fruit water, Water, Klamath Lake Algae Extract, Lactobacillius Ferment, Niacinamide, Salix Alba (Willow) bark extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acacia senegal gum, Olea europaea (Olive) fruit oil, Cannabidiol, Malic Acid, Sodium PCA, DL Panthenol, Allantoin, Glycerine. ✨✨✨ As an aside, I haven’t disliked anything I’ve tried from Code of Harmony, and I think I’ve tried all but one product they make. 🌸
