I’ve performed dance for thousands of people at a time but I have never performed SPEAKING in front of a big audience. 😳

Recently spoke to about 80 student workers for 30 minutes about body awareness! 🫡

I shared my personal story about how I began to value proprioception by first experiencing chronic pain that most likely came from the physical tax of doing my dance style repetitively on the big stage, for a living.😮‍💨

I shared how working with Sports medicine and PTs inspired me to study kinesiology on my own time and invest in other methodologies to achieve results like solving my own pain.🧠

I gave out practical, call to action tools that my audience could use at any second of the day to help them stay moving, whether they are stationary at the desk or walking around campus. ☯️

To be frank, I just showed them small micro movements and how it could potentially make a positive difference in their life if they moved more intentionally.💪🏼

If you still are supporting me after my 14 year dance journey or you just met me recently, just know it’s only up from here! Thank you for your continued support. Big things coming.📝

To get to this part of my life, where I was earning a living through my passion for dance, I needed to become technically competent at the role.

I needed repetitions…

That meant I needed to be more than just dance, I had to perform.

I saw the role I wanted, broke down the elements required, and made drills to get myself comfortable with the skills that the role required. (Before AI was a thing.)

This ensured I was getting the “right” reps for the role I wanted.

I loved the idea of moving dope-ly, and getting paid for it, so I drilled endlessly.

Some people hate the exercises they found online or copied from another influencer.

Because it doesn’t match their goal.

Now that I have accomplished my big dream at 22, the drills I did back in 2014-2017 no longer serve me like they did back then.

If I continued to train like I did back then, it wouldn’t help me, regardless if those drills landed me a $100k job.

So now my question to those reading this, are you doing the right reps to achieve your big dreams?

It’s one thing to practice hard but it’s another things to practice correctly that aligns with your goals.

I hope you’re crystal clear so that you’re not wasting time and energy fr.
