Believe in a better world, but know it doesn’t come without people willing to stand up for one another. A better world is something we build, it isn’t given to us.

Today, use your voice. If it didn’t matter, they wouldn’t try to silence it. Cast your vote. Think of those who came before us, and those who will come after. Keep your humanity. Keep your courage. Never stop believing we can do better. ✌️♥️

The stories of the American West are far from finished. @12westerns

I’m thrilled to announce my partnership with the Tombstone Film Festival, celebrating both the rich history of Western cinema and the filmmakers carrying its spirit into a new generation. Honoring the stories that shaped us while making room for those still waiting to be told.

The West has always had a story to tell, and there’s plenty more on the horizon.

More to come soon.

January 28–31, 2027. Tickets are on sale now. Link in bio.

The poet Dylan Thomas once wrote, “Do not go gentle into that good night.” He understood a thing or two about the importance of refusing to surrender.

Get out and vote. Use your voice. Stand firm in your convictions, but keep your composure and, above all, your humanity. Resist the callousness that is so easy to succumb to. There is still beauty and love everywhere, if you choose to see it. There is strength in conviction, but just as much in kindness.

We can refuse to go quietly without losing our decency.

Just three days after undergoing life-saving spine surgery, against all advice, Actor Sean Kanan was back on set. While most people would have been focused on recovery, Sean was on a mission to see through an action screenplay he’d written, his wife was directing, they’d raised the funds for, and were producing. As if that weren’t enough, he insisted on doing his own stunts. People thought he was out of his mind.

Beneath these circumstances is something deeply human. A man with an unwavering love for his craft, an unshakable belief in what he was building, and the kind of grit that can’t be taught.

A reminder that the most remarkable things about a person have very little to do with their name, and everything to do with their character, and what they do when life puts them to the test.

A story worth listening to.
We also discuss ambition and purpose, the importance of mental health, meditation, and more.

The full conversation is out now on YouTube now.

This house has a soul the size of the canyon. Visiting Joni Mitchell’s cottage wasn’t on my bingo card this week, is it too early to win?

Sean Kanan @sean.kanan is on Ironflower next week, October 21. Best known for his roles as Mike Barnes in The Karate Kid Part III and Cobra Kai, as well as The Bold and the Beautiful, Sean joins me for a conversation that goes beyond Hollywood.

He shares about his sobriety, meditation, purpose and ambition, lessons learned over a 45-year acting career, and the remarkable story of how he recently underwent life-saving spinal surgery, only to return to the set of an action film just days later.

An authentic conversation about resilience, perspective, and what it means to keep moving forward. Watch the full episode next week on YouTube.

It was Buddha who said, “The trouble is, you think you have time.” And he was right.

All we have is now.

An article from an interview I did is out now. Not many people know why I began sharing such vulnerable reflections on life, loss, mental health, and grief. Spoiler: it isn’t random.

In 2024, a screenwriter friend persuaded me to start talking about my life online. My initial response was a firm no. Then, slowly, I did. A few of my videos on TikTok reached millions of people. One of those stories made its way to Newsweek and international press. It freaked me out. I’ve always been more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.

As time went on, I realized this was about something bigger than my resistance to showing up with my own stories. There is a real need for people to talk honestly about the difficult things: grief, loss, mental health, and all the parts of being human we’re often taught to keep to ourselves.

It’s been one of the most terrifying and liberating things I’ve done, especially for someone as private as I am.

These subjects aren’t the center of my day-to-day life, but sharing them publicly has shown me how powerful it can be to give breath to the harder parts of being human. Sometimes sharing about what we’ve lived through can help someone else feel a little less alone. That’s it. That’s the goal.
