All different. All essential. 💙 But it’s important to know the difference!

✨ Doctors – experts in many facets of health care. Some complex cases & specialties.
✨ Nurse Practitioners – diagnosing, prescribing, managing care and running independent clinics (including aesthetics).
✨ Nurses – the heart of patient care, making it all happen & in some clinics with the right training & guidance injecting Botox, fillers, and bio stimulators!

NPs being able to function independently isn’t competition—it’s collaboration. It means more access to care, more options for patients, and a stronger healthcare team overall. 🙌

Happy Nurses Week👩‍⚕️ A little introduction to my life as a nurse!

From stethoscopes to syringes to skincare — once a nurse, always a nurse! This Nurses Week, I’m celebrating the wild, rewarding, coffee-fueled (and NAD fueled) ride that is nursing. Grateful for the 12+ years at the bedside that shaped my hands, heart, and hustle.

How I got here looks a little like this:
👉🏻2009 Bachelors of science- health information management. Worked IT at KU med when Epic electronic records were being implemented.
👉🏻KU nursing school in 2010
❤️‍🩹Nurse Aid 2011 on CTS unit
👩‍🎓 BSN in 2012
🏥 RN in CTS, ED, and Same Day Surgery (2012-2017)
👩‍🎓Graduated Masters of Science- Famiy NP
🩺 Cardiology NP (2017-2018)
🩺Thoracic surgery (2018 to present)
💉 Aesthetics 2022-Present

Every nurse has a colorful resume, and we always keep the dinner table interesting!

Not everything is easy. There is never a “quick fix” or a “wonder supplement”, and you cannot blame someone or something when you don’t reach your personal goals when you try to take shortcuts.

This is for everything- your career, aesthetics, weight loss, family and relationships, academics, etc.

I personally believe vulnerability is one of the biggest challenges, because you have to lean on the support of the people who love you while also be vulnerable enough to put yourself out there!

Postpartum to present.
(This was drafted months ago, finally ready to share ❤️)

Less inflammation. Less stress. 20 pounds down. More energy. More joy. More me.

Fixing my Friday by adding IV hydration to my day 💦
