Big thanks to Mississauga tech company Symcor for having me as a special guest and panelist recently. It was a surreal experience speaking 10 minutes from where I grew up and went to high school. I was so quiet and shy back then, so to return to that area as a speaker, having found my voice, was a full circle moment.

The panel talked about going "From Surviving to Thriving"! Great talk! Not only did I share from my journey from political staffer to founder and media/entertainment professional, but I learned a lot from my fellow panelists. Thanks for having me! #publicspeaker #speakerlife taken in Mississauga, Ontario by @thekevinbourne

Hip-hop ain’t dead… but something definitely changed.

The superstars are still gonna superstar — Drake, Cole, Jay — but what happened to that middle class of rap? The artists sitting in that 30–50 range, collaborating, feeding off each other, and actually pushing the culture forward.

Did everybody stop working together… or is the inspiration just gone?

Big thanks to the Globe and Mail (@globeandmail), Canada's national newspaper, for their article on me and our work at SHIFTER. Much appreciated!

If you've been a part of our journey over the years, as a team member, reader, or viewer thank you. It's been a grind—a long one. 13 years and still going.

Any entrepreneur knows the ups and downs that come with being an entrepreneur. It's a struggle sometimes. You can often put in a lot of work, but the work don't always match the rewards. But it's still one of the most fulfilling jobs in the world! You have good days and bad days, but you keep ot moving.

Shootout to all the hustlers, builders, visionaries and entrepreneurs building something out of nothing! Keep grinding! #shifter
