Mental.

After years of seeing some of the best bands on this stage as a punter, playing to a sold out Academy w/@sarahcreanmusic (& the lovliest geese @john_mullarkey @rubylevins) on the @saintmotel tour certainly feels like a milestone

Scattered Ashes - This New Will (Drum playthrough) ⠀
⠀
The final session done for @scatteredashesdublin back in April - (recorded & mixed by Dan Dotherty @darklandsaudio) Available to listen on @spotifyuk and the likes ⠀
⠀
Took a different approach with writing the parts for this tune. Focused mainly on various textures using @meinlcymbals ching ring syncopated over the straight grooves. Made some subtle variations to each groove to help with the movement between sections

Capparatical craic getting to session for @scatteredashesdublin on these upcoming tunes. Posted an isolated drum track of this a while back, probably leaving you with the tashte of more, I’m sure.. So now for ya, heres a playthrough. (Recorded & mixed by Dan Dotherty @darklandsaudio) Available to listen on @spotifyuk now ⠀
⠀
On another note, although the tune originally is not dedicated to any particular person, I’ve taken liberty in dedicating this to my cousin David. He was a key factor in my progression as a drummer and he loved to watch any drum video I made. He kept me going. He was always incredibly encouraging and motivating in pushing me in a positive light through my career. So, I feel he would’ve loved and appreciated this video. Cheers for reading this far, pure poignant buzz haha⠀
