✨ A little behind the scenes ✨ I don’t often show my face here, but I thought it’s time to share a bit more about the journey. I’m Yuu, the founder behind TKC (The Kids Collection) created in 2019 from a passion for thoughtful design, art, and meaningful details. This photo was taken during my trip to Hong Kong for Christie’s Auction House Week, a place that always reminds me how art, culture, and creativity connect globally. Since then, I’ve been quietly building TKC - a platform born from passion, purpose, and persistence - bringing together art, investment, and meaningful connections across the world. Every step of this journey has been deeply personal and @hanicholls2017 (my 9 yo 👦) has been my greatest inspiration throughout 💫 #TKC #Christies #FineArt #Investment #Entrepreneur #HongKong #Inspiration #ArtCollector by @thekidscollectionme
✨ Little card, big story ✨ Our new business cards have arrived and they carry the heart of @thekidscollectionme 🎨🌿 Born in Dubai in 2019, we’ve always believed in curating a creative, independent, and thoughtful concept for babies and kids. From playful details to meaningful designs, every piece we carry in our store is made to inspire curiosity and joy 💛 This tiny card is just a glimpse of the world we’ve built – colorful, imaginative, and full of character (spot the little fox 🦊, bird 🎶, and croc 🐊). We can’t wait to keep growing, sharing, and creating more beautiful moments with our community of families in Dubai and beyond 🌍✨ #TheKidsCollection #DubaiKids #CreativeKids #IndependentBusiness #MadeInDubai #smallbusiness #familyrunbusiness #smallbusinesssupportingsmallbusiness #homegrown #uae #dxb #dubai #dubaikids #mumrunbusiness #familyrunbusiness by @thekidscollectionme

Moments like this are exactly why I started @thekidscollectionme 💛 Today @shaikhalshafar shared a beautiful photo and some of the kindest words about the Holztiger figures @gokigermany. Thank you, it honestly made my day. Every brand we carry is handpicked by me. I take the time to understand each one, its history and what it stands for, before it ever comes to you. So knowing it means something in your home really means the world. Holztiger is one I love deeply. Each figure is handmade from solid maple wood, gently rounded and hand-painted with water-based paints. They feel lovely in little hands, they're made to last, and so many families collect them over the years to build their own little play world, one animal at a time. I often get asked why wooden toys are worth more than plastic ones. For me, it's simple. They last for years, not months, and are often passed down to siblings and even the next generation. They're natural, warm to the touch and free from the plastics we'd rather keep away from little ones. And because they don't flash, beep or tell a child what to do, they leave room for imagination. A wooden fox can be anything your child dreams it to be. You buy less, but you buy better. Thank you for trusting us, and for taking the time to share this with me. With love, Yuu Founder, The Kids Collection Shop Holztiger via the link in bio. #TheKidsCollection #Holztiger #HandmadeToys #WoodenToys #DubaiMums by @thekidscollectionme

The Story Behind the Brand - @thekidscollectionme When these characters first came to mind, I knew exactly how I wanted them to look. I found @mianilssonillustration through @yoguitosyogakids and fell for the amazing detail she puts into her drawings. I still remember our early conversations about every little detail. I wanted these characters to carry the warmth and sunshine of the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪, where I fell in love with Dubai more than 22 years ago. Next came two animals 🐪🦊 to represent the desert and the Middle East. I didn’t want them to be just animals, though. I wanted them full of life, with sweet little touches in their outfits to make them playful, childlike and friendly. And then they were born: Shams the Smiley Sun 🌞 - "Shams" means sun in Arabic Mr. Polka Dot Jamal 🐪 - "Jamal" is camel in Arabic Sa'ada the Confetti Fox 🦊 - "Sa'ada" means happiness in Arabic by @thekidscollectionme

Our Victorian Dolls House by Plan Toys has been restocked, and it’s more than a beautifully made house. It’s a little world that changes with the seasons. Hang tiny pumpkins on the porch for Halloween. String fairy lights through the windows for Diwali. Lay a mini feast on the table for Eid, add a little flag for National Day, then a tree in the parlour come Christmas. Birthday? Balloons on the staircase and a cake in the kitchen. Working sash windows, an L-shaped staircase, three floors and a fully opening front. Made from sustainable rubberwood with non-toxic, water-based finishes, built to be passed down. Our Maileg mice fit right in, too 🐭 Ages 3+ | Link in bio 🏠 #thekidscollectionme #PlanToys #DollsHouse #HeirloomToys #WoodenToys by @thekidscollectionme
