Well, after three years of being my emotional support roommate, Erin is moving to Delaware.
I never thought I would get along with a roommate, I always thought it would be weird and tense. Not only did we get along, but you became my best friend during one of the worst times in the world for me and a lot of people. You’ve made me stronger and better and happier than I thought possible.

A few nights ago my dear Papa passed away. I’ve been reluctant to say anything because frankly, there is little for me to say. I had never lost an immediate family member before, and I was fortunate to have lived until now like that. I am still emotionally raw and in shock.
Papa was one of the most genuine people in the world. I will still hear him humming his little song in another room, or him nagging us not to do the dishes because that’s “his job”. I miss him so dearly yet I am thankful that he had the wonderful life he did, and is no longer in pain. by @theknightlight

I’ve lived in the same state (same house for most) for 22 years. The farthest I have lived away from home was an hour and change, and my extended family has always been close by.
I love the east coast. I love the southeast. I love North Carolina. But right now I’m in a car on my way to my new place in LA.
I am terrified. I have cried for weeks because I don’t think I’m ready. But I’ve come to terms with the fact that I would hate to not let myself see what happens if I just try it. LA may or may not be my permanent home, but NC will always be.
I’m 22, so Rosie and I have ample time to see what the rest of the world is like. And I won’t be embarrassed or ashamed if I don’t “make it” in the TV industry like I might intend. I’m slowly unlearning the brainwashing I went through that success is defined by big names and big credits. If I’m happy in a place I love, I’ve made it.
To my loved ones on the east coast, I’ll see you. I promise.& you have a spot on my couch as long as I’m out there.
