I don’t usually post knife throwing content outside of my story (mostly because I simply don’t have the emotional bandwidth for unsolicited criticism from strangers) but while putting together an updated demo reel I remembered this killer video by @sleepwalkwithme of me and @azpetranella while performing at @downtowntempe ‘s April Second Sunday.

It’s definitely a reminder of how far I’ve come in the last 3 years of developing this skill (shout-out to my coach @cytheswordswallower ), and keeps my motivation piqued to keep trying new things!

And pssssssst, if you want this at your next event, you can hire @thekumpania 😘

I cannot wait to perform alongside @ardalous1771 of @thekumpania this weekend at the Arizona Renaissance Festival! He will be guesting with @ghazaal_beledi on Sunday, and it is a rare treat for us to perform together on the same stage! Are you coming to Faire this weekend? Come see the Ghazaal Beledi shows at 10:30a, 11:45a, 1:30p, and 2:30p for dancing, danger, and fire!!

Stunned by this photo from @keepingitinframe_ at our @tworiversfaire fire show!
@ardalous1771 built this Medusa headdress for @thekumpania and slowly it is making its rounds across the heads of our troupe members.

Spend the morning prepping fire props for @tworiversfaire with Petra and Ardalos! In order to keep Aranya’s caravan as soot-free as possible, we wrap all of our prop wicks with elegant grocery story bags. Everyone has that bag of bags at home, right? This is how we make use of ours!

The 2026 renaissance faire season is almost upon us! My spring lineup is 10 weekends long and then we hopefully jump right back in again in the fall (a couple irons in the fire, knock on wood). You can find me both with @thekumpania at @tworiversfaire and @renfaire_havasu AND with @ghazaal_beledi at @arizona_renaissance_festival . It’s gonna be a great season full of new material so don’t miss out 🔥

The crews of @thekumpania and @bladesandbraveryshow took over @drinkundertow last night! We’ve been working hard developing new choreo, skill-sharing, and script-writing so we treated ourselves to a little pirate excursion 🏴‍☠️ Thank you for the delicious drinks and excellent service, @drinkundertow 💕

It is Kumpania’s 8th anniversary!! What a journey it has been to get to this point. Thank you to every Renaissance festival and private gig that has hired us, to our fellow performers who have hyped us up along the way, and to every single person who has come to see our show. Friends new and old, fans who love fire and hilarity, patrons who appreciate the art in our every movement; get ready for the next eight years! A post as sappy as this probably could have waited til our 10th anniversary, but I love this troupe so much I couldn’t help it! - Petra
