Yesterday was dope.I was blessed to be one of seven University of Hartford alum recognized with an Anchor Award, the most prestigious award presented by the University of Hartford Alumni Association. Wtf is an Anchor Award? Great question - swipe left to read the school's explanation, but beyond that it's fitting that it's named the Anchor Award because anyone that knows me knows that being an "anchor" is at my core. The same way I was fortunate to have wise people around me to anchor to is how I try to pass on any knowledge, experience, network and support to the next generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, and youth in general. Sometimes all someone needs is that vote of confidence to give them the runway to shine.I'm OD grateful, humbled, and feel more inspired than ever to keep pushing forward. Long Post Alertso, The LAB has been going thru it. I won't bore you with every single little detail but just know that for the better part of 3 years it's been a whirlwind of back and forth legal disputes between us and the owners of the building we're leasing. that is still ongoing 🤦🏿‍♂️. for those of you who know me personally, you know that The LAB / recording / mixing has been what I've done since I was 12. no exaggeration. it's my escape. it's my oasis. it's me. so needless to say, not having the luxury of utilizing a space that we spent a lot of time, effort and money to build up from scratch and carefully craft to host & collaborate with many of you to piece together dope music has been tough to process.but what's meant to be will always be (a Word 🙌🏿). I've built out one home studio and two commercial studios over the past decade. & with that comes a knack for understanding acoustics. so once i realized how well treated the acoustics in my car was i had a crazy idea. an idea that would revive The LAB and let me scratch the itch while the dust settles with our commercial studio space. on a smaller, more intentional scale that better fits my current lifestyle. so I hit up Mega and said hear me out - we gonna record from the road. it took a lot of brainstorming, a lot of trial and error, a lot of troubleshooting - but eventually the sound quality that I (and you) have grown to expect out of The LAB started to manifest. and slowly i started to dust off the cobwebs and relearn my way behind the mix. and the final product is here - all recorded in the passenger seat of my car 🤯Everything Omega - Fix It.take a listen, stream, share - all that! Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal (for yawl rich people).not having The LAB has been a blessing in disguise. it has allowed me to unplug for a bit. allowed me to find my wife. start my family. and spend the necessary time to really learn them along the way.so although the days (and nights) of locking in blocks for all day /overnight sessions are behind me (I'm washed lol), it feels really good to get back to a big part of what has always made me, me. let's lock in. we back!#WeMakeHits #TessySeshyWithP by @thelabnr

🚴🏿‍♂️🎬started in July, gasping for air every few miles lol.but kept showing up. trailing behind the pack. but kept pedaling. and slowly, the 5 mile rides turned to 10, which turned to 15, which turned to an occasional 20 here and there.&&& a couple of 25 mile rides to Greenwich and City Island.never thought I'd actually fugg with biking, but it ain't half bad! mad therapeutic and the promise of a view of sun n water at the end of the destination is enough to keep me pedaling ahead.i thinkkkk it's a wrap for 2021 as we approach the colder winter mornings, but i appreciate my new found addiction and look forward to starting earlier in 2022 so I can hit 1000 for the year.hit me up if you're trying to join the pack!🚴🏿‍♂️🚴🏿‍♂️🚴🏿‍♂️🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿 by @thelabnr
