Such an exciting announcement to make! I am now an official member of @parislashacademy PLA Trainers program!!

This is a huge accomplishment and exciting adventure as I get to work closely with so many talented educators and beauty professionals! This is a full circle moment for me because I never wanted to educate, or so I thought. I have years of training experience with the salon I currently work with. I thought of it as “work”. I went to an event a little over a year ago and @michellenguyenpla made a comment that I am a great teacher with a lot of patience! Hearing this from someone that inspires me so deeply me made an impact! I realized I have been educating for years as “work” but never fully realized it was something I wanted to do in my personal business until that moment. I immediately started making my curriculum and training local lash artists. Teaching doesnt feel like “work” to me, it feels like I am capable of helping other lash artists with some of the same struggles I went through! Ive been lucky enough to attend classes all over the US and a couple international classes, the fact that I can share so much of that and pour love into new lash artists is extremely special to me!

💜 A little POP of purple 💜

Because sometimes the lash math doesn’t add up without a little pop of color. ✨

For this wispy anime set, I wanted tons of texture and dimension with just enough purple to make those spikes POP without taking over the entire look

One of my favorite parts about being a PLA Powered Trainer is getting to take the fundamentals of lash artistry and show artists how to make them their own. Mapping, diameter, weight, texture, color placement it all matters. That’s the lash math. 🧮✨

Color doesn’t have to mean a full color or vivid set. A few strategically placed spikes can completely transform a look while still keeping it dark, wispy and wearable.

I changed my name. 🖤✨

But this one means so much more to me than an Instagram handle.

My dad taught math for 38 years, and if you know him, you know he has always proudly called himself a mathematician. Somewhere along the way, I jokingly told him that if he was the mathematician, then I was the LASHEMATICIAN. 😂

And it stuck.

So when I started thinking about a name that actually represented me, not just the services I provide, but the artist, educator and absolute perfectionist I’ve become there really wasn’t another choice.

@thelashematician was born. 🖤

And the picture I chose for this announcement couldn’t be more perfect.

That’s my dad holding my special needs daughter. Some of the most important people in my entire world. She absolutely adores her Peapaw, and seeing the relationship they have is something I will never take for granted.

My dad is the only man in my life I’ve ever truly considered my hero. He’s been a constant example of intelligence, strength, hard work, perseverance and love. Now a little piece of him gets to live inside something I’ve worked so hard to build.

So no, I’m not leaving Lorian Lash behind. This is still me. Same passion. Same obsession with the tiny details. Same love for this industry.

I’m just putting ME at the front of it now.

Welcome to my next chapter.

✨ STEP 1: SOFTENING ✨

One of the biggest differences with the new cysteamine KLL + Brow Lamination system is learning how to properly assess lash readiness, not just watching the clock 👏

In this video, I’m applying the lashes to the shield, securing them into place, and performing Step 1 of this innovative 3-step cysteamine process: SOFTENING.

While I typically begin checking the lashes around the 8-minute mark as a general rule of thumb, timing is never the only indicator. The lashes themselves will always tell you when they’re ready. Learning to recognize those visual cues is one of the most important skills when working with any lash lift system and especially when working with Korean lash lift techniques.

As a PLA Powered Trainer, I love continuing to learn, refine my skills, and bring the latest innovations in our industry to both my clients and students.

PRO TIP 💫
Im spilling a little tea from their extensive course 🤫 but when using the balm, focus the application on the upper 50% of the softening shield! @lashleygee made it make so much sense! The less product in between the lashes and step one can affect results! 🤯

I am SO excited to start working with this newly released 3-step cysteamine process 👏 One of the biggest differences with this Korean lash lift system is that it is designed to be used from root to tip of the lash, unlike many traditional lash lift systems that cannot safely process the entire lash in the same way ✨
