I tried my best to get an England call up but the phone never rang 📞 so I wrote a song & made a low budget video to go with it, which made me feel much better!

Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Our World Cup journey starts now, it’s time to shine, it’s there for the taking! Bring football home lads! 🏆 🦁 🦁 🦁 🎉

If somehow you didn’t know already, there’s an absolutely massive game of football coming up this weekend between England and Norway 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇳🇴 Both teams are on fire at the moment 🔥 but I’m putting my money on the three lions to win & book us a place in the semi finals!

I also love how the England team & fans have bonded over Wonderwall, which was the first song I ever learnt to play on the guitar, back in the late 90’s, so I thought I’d do a quick cover version of it.

Anyway, let’s hope we’re all singing Wonderwall loud & proud on Saturday night after a win against Haaland & the Norwegian’s! 🎉 🏆

I love a little instore gig & tonight’s one from @hardfiofficial will certainly be hard to beat. Great tunes, good banter & a top bunch of lads, really enjoyed that.

Check out the new album, it’s a belter!

Here’s a few pics from our set last weekend at Cfest in Eastleigh. Currently without a drummer, we planned to play as a duo but in the end - my ex band mate Sted agreed to get up on stage with us (very) last minute & we had a blast! 😎

It just goes to show that rehearsing is for wimps 😜

I’m really enjoying the new @thecoralband album 388. This track ‘You & me’ struck a chord with me straight away, so I tried to work the chords out. I think I got it somewhere close 🤞🏻

Give the album a listen if you haven’t yet, it’s a belter! 🎶

As I’m sure you all know, it’s done nothing but rain so far in England in 2026 ☔️ so we’ve decided to add a bit of cheer & optimism to this gloomy time of year, and release a summer song in February! ☀️ A bold move? Maybe.

I wrote Chasing The Sunrise around a year ago & I took it with me to the songwriters retreat @thealbionroomsmargate in September of last year. I played it to @carlbarat78 in our one on one session to see what he thought of it, we had a little jam with it & he pointed out to me that I sung the same line twice in the chorus, which I’d not really given too much thought. Carl offered up a lyric change, which I gladly excepted & it’s stayed in the final version of the song.

In November of last year, we returned to the Albion rooms & recorded this song as a band with @jasonstafford_sound with @soundbeard on mastering duties.

It’s due for release this Friday 13th 😱 February, so please do add it to your playlists, share it with friends & dance around your kitchen pretending that summers come early!🥂 ☀️ ⚽️

Enjoy!

Big thanks to @shiner_sam for adding our tune ‘City Streets’ to her New Music Friday playlist 🎶

We’re amongst some good company on there, a good mix of up & coming bands & well established artists. Well worth a listen! 🎧

So as the year draws to a close, here’s a few highlights from 2025. A year full of ups & downs for many of us, that’s life I guess. Hopefully 2026 will bring plenty of good times too! Keep pushing forward, roll on the summer! ☀️
