FLORIDA!!! I’ll be headed to the @rockabillaque #ImmokaleeSeminoleCasino right after my trip to Austria this coming November for the @swelltunerecords showcase! ✨💖🤘🏼

I’ll be joined by @krupanut , @official_sebastien_bordeaux , and #JonnySafford of @thelazayfairs for the showcase! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We ALL have some really great music to play out on #swelltunerecords so don’t miss it!

I cannot wait to be back at this festival, especially knowing that a bunch of my friends will be there performing as well. It’s also such an honor to be on a lineup with @shanandtheclams , a group that I truly respect and admire! Wow! 🤩

Can’t wait to see everyone on this lineup! See you in November @semcasimmokalee ! by @thelazayfairs

This tune has been floating around my brain for over a year. I will get around to doing a formal recording but I was digging on this solo idea and wanted to at least dual track it, see how it worked and share it, so here you go.

Genuine question for my music friends - what genre would you label this? taken in Deerfield Beach, Florida by @thelazayfairs

The LaZay Fairs are a Broward County based, genre bending three-piece. Their sound starts with a blues foundation blended with rockabilly, surf, funk, and a little bit of punk. Guitarist, vocalist and Swelltune Records recording artist, Jonny Safford relocated to South Florida from Rhode Island a couple of years ago. Around a year later he recruited Bill Moffat on bass and later Dave Hernandez was added on drums. Still considered a young band, their chemistry and camaraderie is evident in their live performance.

The LaZay Fairs played a Tiki themed brunch on Sunday, August 30 at Revelry in Pompano Beach. Together the band is a powerhouse, Moffat and Hernandez hold down a strong rhythm section that makes you want to dance, while Safford’s gritty voice and ripping guitar licks finish you off with a punch. The opener to their set was a tune titled “Come On” which happens to be the first track released by the LaZay Fairs, available on the Swelltune’s bandcamp. Catch their next performance at Kahuna’s in Deerfield Beach on Saturday, September 5!
