Making dance education more accessible through scholarships, advocacy, and opportunity. Founded by @oliviacronauer

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Meet the founder, Olivia Cronauer. 🩷

Dance has always been a constant force in Olivia’s life, shaping who she is and what she believes in. Through dance, she has learned confidence, discipline, resilience, and how to express herself fearlessly.

The Leap Forward Foundation was created from that experience, and a belief that every dancer deserves the opportunity to grow through dance and gain the same life-changing lessons it offers, regardless of financial barriers.

Applications for The Leap Forward Scholarship close THIS FRIDAY.

Today is the last day to apply for the very first Leap Forward Scholarship!

Founded to help dancers overcome financial barriers, this scholarship was created to ensure that more dancers have access to the training, opportunities, and experiences that dance can provide.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of hearing from dancers across the state and reading their incredible stories. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your journey with us. The response has only reinforced how important this mission truly is and how many dancers can benefit from increased access to opportunities.

If you haven’t applied yet, there’s still time. Applications close tonight. And while this application cycle may be coming to an end, this is only the beginning, another scholarship opportunity will be announced in the future as we continue to grow The Leap Forward Foundation.

Confidence isn’t something dancers are simply born with. It’s built through years of showing up, trying again, performing under pressure, and believing in themselves even when things feel difficult.

That’s one of the many reasons dance is so valuable and why access to dance opportunities matters.

Did you know dance is just as powerful for the mind as it is for the body? 🧠

Research has shown that dance can help reduce stress, boost serotonin, strengthen memory, and build new neural connections in the brain.

This is exactly why dance education and opportunities should be accessible to everyone. Every child deserves the chance to experience the impact dance can have both inside and outside the studio.

Behind every dancer is a story of growth, confidence, and becoming.
We asked our applicants how dance has shaped their confidence and their words speak for themselves. This is just a glimpse of their stories, every answer reminding us why dance is so important and should be accessible to everyone.

There will always be something special about being surrounded by the dance community. 🩷

I loved spending the day at WCTE Nationals supporting so many incredible dancers and studios. It was especially meaningful to meet and cheer on several dancers who applied for The Leap Forward Scholarship this year.

Watching them take the stage reminded me why I started The Leap Forward Foundation. Dance changed my life, and knowing I have the opportunity to help other dancers continue chasing the same dreams and discovering the same confidence, friendships, and joy that dance gave me means more than I can put into words.

Wishing every dancer an incredible week. I’m so proud to be cheering you on. 👏

Happy International Dance Day 🩷

Growing up as a dancer has shaped so much of who I am. It’s taught me discipline, confidence, and how to keep going even when things feel hard. It’s given me friendships, opportunities, and a sense of purpose I don’t think I would’ve found anywhere else.

But not everyone gets the same access to those opportunities, and that’s why The Leap Forward Foundation matters so much to me. Dance can open doors, build confidence, and completely change the path someone is on. Every dancer who is willing to work for it deserves the chance to grow, be seen, and be supported.

What dance gives you goes so far beyond the studio, and I’m so grateful it’s led me to a place where I can give that back.
