✨ MEMBER HIGHLIGHT | Leni Adams ✨

Meet LENI ADAMS — an actor whose journey began “from the outside,” discovered by a director at the Berlinale, and shaped through training, curiosity, and learning on set. From German TV and film to international projects — including Doctor Who — Leni moves across drama, comedy, and sci-fi with one rule: the character has to have something honest to say.

In this interview, she opens up about doubt, discipline, and the small rituals that help her build a role from the inside out.

“Storytelling that connects people and can move or inspire them.”
“I build little anchors for each role — music, a smell, or an object.”

✨ #TheActorsHomeStarProject: Leni Adams ✨

We’re celebrating Leni Adams, German actress based in Cologne, featured in “Hürden der Liebe” (Hurdles of Love) — a fully student-made capstone film created by Kulturstars Unkel and the entire class at Stefan-Andres-Realschule Plus (Unkel, Germany).

This project shines a light on real teen experiences — from school stress, bullying, and racism, to friendship and first love — all told from the students’ own perspectives, with the aim of building self-confidence, pride, and community spirit.

Leni plays Frau Keller, the supportive philosophy teacher who truly listens, avoids ready-made answers, and empowers her students to find and express their own voice.

📺 The project was already featured in a WDR Lokalzeit report.
🎬 Premiere: mid-June 2026 at the school, followed by a YouTube release. @kultur.stars.unkel

🎥 Something flickers behind the silence.

Every step too loud, like the snow itself is listening. Beneath her skin, winter keeps burning.

The boy - a shadow from her past. He doesn‘t know her name, nor her face, nor the storm inside her chest.

When time is running out, how do you choose to live?

ROBIN- WATCH FOR WISHES
In this deeply moving drama, poetry slammer John (Jeff Burrell) and his fiercely devoted wife Miriam (Leni Adams) are confronted with the unimaginable: their young son Robin (Aiden Flowers) is diagnosed with terminal cancer. As hope collides with heartbreak, the parents find themselves locked in a painful and deeply human conflict. Miriam is determined to pursue every possible treatment, fighting relentlessly for even the smallest chance of more time. John, however, believes their son’s remaining days should not be defined by hospitals and procedures, but by wonder, laughter, and unforgettable experiences.

Without warning, Robin disappears from the hospital overnight. John - unreachable. Every clue points to Cape Town. Driven by anguish and love, Miriam embarks on a frantic search across South Africa alongside the police. What unfolds is a breathtaking journey through extraordinary landscapes and unexpected encounters, filled with moments of danger, beauty, and fleeting joy. Amid wild adventures, and dreamlike wish fulfillments, father and son embrace precious fragments of life, while a mother struggles with rage, terror, and fading hope.

At its core, this story becomes a powerful reflection on love, loss, and the unbreakable bonds of family. The film deeply resonated with audiences and went on to receive numerous awards at international film festivals.

In this scene I had the incredible privilege of starring alongside my acting hero, @tshamanosivhe , in the vibrant streets of Cape Town. Sharing the screen with such a remarkable and magnetic performer was truly inspiring. His presence, generosity, and artistry elevated every moment on set.

Grateful for the amazing times with my wonderful acting colleagues @claytonnemrow, @thejeffburrell @theaidenflowers @luisa.wietzorek & Hans Holzbecher , and for the vision of director @toby_schmutzler and @kevinschmutzler , along with the entire team who brought this beautiful story to life.

An unforgettable journey, both artistically and personally. 🎥✨ #dreamjourney #robinwatchforwishes #bucketlistadventure #southafricacinema #lifeyourdreams by @theleniadams
