Perspectives. I get the idea of marriage; however, it’s contractual, companionship is spiritual. Looking for a relationship, while in a relationship is selfish. However, how the young’in applied his logic was hilarious🤣 by @thelibrary451

Many of us are conditioned to believe that we will wake up. There’s no such thing as tomorrow; every tomorrow is another today.

I remember our last conversation; we stood on the corner and just talked about where we were in life, for two hours. We laughed, talked about retirement and talked about how much New York has changed. We talked about the need for us to get together and just have dinner. You thought you had more time; I thought you had more time. I looked over my shoulder and saw that I’ve been moving forward and you’ve been left standing in place.

Mod, I will never forget you because I often stop (meditate) and go within and you’re there. It would be great to have you here physically, but you’re not; however, the fact that I can close my eyes and recall conversations and moments….. I’m still grindin’ I will always love you and honor you by living more.🙏🏾🕊️❤️ by @thelibrary451

Caucasians were slaves; sadly, this fact is not common knowledge. “The first slaves held in the United States were not black, but white. They were Europeans, mostly British, who died like flies on the slave-ships across. On one voyage 1,100 perished out of 1,500. At another time 350 out of 400. In Virginia, white servitude was for a limited period, but was sometimes extended to life.” (100 Amazing Facts About the Negro, JA Rogers, Pg. 19).
Reparations would be difficult because…. I wonder why this history hasn’t been told, “In fact, negro slavery was efficiently established in colonial America because Black slaves weee governed, organized and controlled by the structures and organization that were first used to enslave and control whites. Black slaves were ‘late comers fitted into a system already developed.’” (Ulrich B. Phillips, Life and Labor in the Old South , pp. 25-26). by @thelibrary451

Humans in the United States were transformed into Artificial Intelligence, per the 14th Amendment.
To survive the onslaught of digital artificial intelligence, the creators have to regulate themselves, as well as legislators regulating them. No one desires to be responsible. by @thelibrary451

The O. J. Simpson trial was televised, and through that television screen America was forced to look at itself. It was supposed to be a trial about murder, evidence, guilt, innocence, and the law. But it became something larger. It exposed the construction of race in America: Black, White, Brown, Yellow, and Red. The courtroom became a mirror, and millions watched the reflection. For some, it confirmed what they had always believed. For others, it revealed what they had spent a lifetime refusing to see. Lady Justice stood in the courtroom wearing her blindfold, but America could see that justice itself was not always blind.

Then came Hip Hop, a young culture born from the places America neglected, and with it came another kind of trial. Lil Durk’s case demonstrated the power and influence of Hip Hop culture, but it also exposed the hypocrisy surrounding rap music. America loves the sound of the culture. It buys the music. It sells the music. It broadcasts the music. It profits from the music. The corporations package the pain, distribute the stories, and carry the voices of the streets around the world. But when those same words enter a courtroom, the artist can suddenly become the accused, and the lyrics that created wealth for others can become evidence against the person who created them.

The United States corporation speaks often about the greatness and importance of the Constitution. It waves the Constitution like a flag and recites its principles like a prayer. But when we look closely at the First Amendment and the Fifth Amendment, there is much to scrutinize. The First Amendment is frequently raised as a shield when discussing rap lyrics and artistic expression. We hear arguments about freedom of speech. We hear arguments about freedom of expression. But far too often, there is not enough discussion about another constitutional protection: “No person shall…be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against themselves….” by @thelibrary451
