If you didnโ€™t see my Instagram stories from 2ish months ago I had a miscarriage and needed some time to process and just live with the news. I was 8 weeks pregnant with twins when we noticed they didnโ€™t have a heartbeat and my HCG levels went down to 14,000. From the beginning the pregnancy was very weird. They didnโ€™t implant in a normal spot. For my first ultrasound they were really low in my cervix which brought up concerns on if I was cramping or having any bleeding. Which I wasnโ€™t so the doctor asked to see me back in a week. When I went back was when we noticed there was 2 and I was so excited and nervous. 3 kids was my limit, but finding out we were having twins was just so joyous. We actually found a heartbeat for 1 but couldnโ€™t hear it yet, but sadly we still couldnโ€™t see the heartbeat for the second one so he wanted to see me back in one week again. And the results were the same as last week. So he said letโ€™s make an appointment in a week again. Youโ€™ll be at the 7-8 week mark and then we should see a heartbeat for the second one. We were hoping and praying that everything would be ok. A week later we found out that both babies didnโ€™t have a heartbeat and my HCG levels dropped dramatically. They started moving lower in my cervix. My world stopped. Everything just stopped and I swear it was like static in my ear while he was explaining our next steps to take. All I could think of was what did I do? How could this have happened? Did I do something wrong? My Dr was very caring and talked me through everything and reassured me that it wasnโ€™t my fault. I can say one thing, my OB has helped a lot in my grief process. He is searching for answers as to why this happened. And has been there to help me understand that it wasnโ€™t my fault. I wanna thank everyone who has check in on me and has sent me prayers and positive energy. And honestly I wanna thank @authormarenmoore team. Maren and Katie are the sweetest human beings Iโ€™ve ever meet! Maisie is in a bar looking to lose her v-card. She spots a stranger at the end of the bar and decides on him. Someone she doesnโ€™t know and will never see again will be perfect, or so she thought ๐Ÿ‘€ Turns out he is the new assistant coach who she will be working with him. Maren did such an amazing job with this book! The relationship dynamics between the two main characters was very well written. The tension on the page, I swear I could literally feel it! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ And that whistle scene ๐Ÿ‘€ CHEFโ€™S KISS!!!๐Ÿ’‹ - ๐Ÿ… ๐Ÿ…ž๐Ÿ…ฃ๐Ÿ…“: Have you read anything by Maren Moore? The tension had me screaming at them to just kiss already ๐Ÿคฃ I love a good slow burn, should I or should I not! Friends to lovers has to be one of my new favorite tropes! The friendly banter between Jude and Charlotte was top tier! And Judeโ€™s flirting had me blushing! Charlotte is getting evicted from the place she was renting. One of Judeโ€™s one night stands comes to his door step and drops off their baby. Jude tells Charlotte that she could just live with him and help him raise his new baby. Watching his character navigate parenthood reminded me of when I just had my daughter. Those beautiful moments of watching this tiny human learn how to be a human is just beyond happiness! Itโ€™s like watching your heart outside of your body. Ooooโ€ฆ. I forgot to mention!
