The show must go on 👑

A few hours before this moment, my heels broke. Then my bikini broke too. 😭
Definitely NOT the plan!!!

BUT the second I stepped onto that stage, none of it mattered anymore💪

I adapted, trusted myself, threw that pareo in the air turned (and somehow CAUGHT IT 😭😂), and most importantly… I enjoyed EVERY second of it!!!

This experience taught me something about myself that no perfect performance ever could: I don’t need everything to go according to plan to give my best👑

I can stay composed, find a solution, keep smiling and perform with the same energy I came there to give.

And THAT is probably what I’m proudest of . NOT perfection growth, adaptability and the willingness to keep getting better.

So much still to learn. And I genuinely cannot wait to learn it. 🩷

Lady in red ❤️‍🔥✨

One of my favourite moments from this entire adventure. Walking on that stage in this dress felt like such a MOMENT 🥹❤️

Fun fact: the dress was actually WAYYY too tight 😭 I could barely walk, so we had to make a sacrifice and cut the first layer underneath just so I could move a little better 💀 The things we do for the look I guess HAHAHA

But one of the moments that stayed with me the most actually happened after the show, when I got to meet people from the audience. Hearing so many of you tell me that I was in your personal Top 3 genuinely made my heart so full. 🥹

Of course, everyone has their own favourites and that’s part of the fun, but knowing that something about my performance connected with so many people meant more to me than I can explain.

I loved this night. I loved being on that stage. And I think you can probably tell from these pictures 😭❤️

The moment my story met the stage❤️👑
My evening gown walk ❤️👠
I hesitated a LOOT before posting this but it’s now or never❤️

✨Satry✨ Born in Spain, she had to escape her family at the age of 11. Today, she’s a model and a hospital volunteer, turning her difficult childhood into strength to advocate for children and families facing difficult circumstances.

Shes currently learning her 8th language, while sharing every little chapter of this crazy journey with you here. ✨

Hearing my story being told while I walked across the stage in my red evening gown felt almost surreal. My story was always was always something I tried to hide or to avoid talking about and hesitated A LOT before sharing it to the public but I realised if I wanted to give a power to all my advocacy I ha stp give the small piece of the puzzle 🧩❤️. So much life happened between the little girl at the beginning of that introduction and the woman walking on that stage. 🥹❤️

Fun fact: that dress was WAY too tight on me and literally had to be CUT at the last minute so I could walk in it 😭😭😭 So yes, while everything looked very ✨elegant princess✨ on stage, backstage was fighting for its LIFE. 💀❤️

And just like that… my Miss Belgium journey has come to an end 🥹👑💜

And somehow one of the things I’m leaving with is a bunch of girls I probably would’ve never met otherwise 😭

We came from completely different lives, ended up wearing the same little purple dresses, stressed together, laughed together, helped each other when things went wrong and somehow made memories in the middle of all the chaos 😭💜

Pageantry surprised me in SO many ways, but the friendships might genuinely be one of my favourite ones.

A crown can only go home with one girl but somehow we all get to go home with pieces of each other’s stories. And I think that’s really beautiful omg🥹

So yes… this journey has officially come to an end.

Am I sad? At all 🥹
Am I grateful? SO much.
Did this experience accidentally make me fall completely in love with pageantry?

…unfortunately yes bwahahha😭👑

I have so much more from this chapter that I still want to share with you before I properly close it, but for now…

to the girls who made the backstage just as memorable as the stage thank YOU. 💜

What an experience.

And most importantly what a BEGGINING…🤭👀

One of the most beautiful things this adventure brought me was you @delphineblehoussi 🥺❤️

Somewhere between all the rehearsals, the stress, the laughs, the chaos and the moments backstage, you became so much more than a friend to me. You became my pageant sister🥹

And seeing you being crowned 1st Runner-Up genuinely made me SOOO happy I think the video of me jumping says enough 😭😂❤️ I was so proud of you in that moment and I still am❤️❤️

You were there for me throughout this whole adventure, including when everything was going wrong on final day 😭, and those are the things I’ll remember much longer than any result!!!

You deserve to be so proud of yourself Delphine You looked BEAUTIFUL you worked so hard, and you stayed the wonderful person I got to know throughout this journey💪👑

You may have been crowned 1st Runner-Up that night but in my heart, you’ll always be my Miss Brussels👑❤️

I think one of the strangest things I had to learn is realizing how quickly people decide what kind of person you are :)

If u are quiet, composed and reserved people often associate you with depth and then If you’re loud, eccentric, playful sometimes they assume the opposite! Beahhahaha😅

And I’ve always found that soooo interesting

I genuinely don’t think emotional or social intelligence means behaving the exact same way everywhere Actuall the opposite ! You learn to read people understand the room, know when to speak, when to listen, when to soften yourself and when to take up space!😊✨

But there’s a difference between adjusting your behaviour out of awareness and editing your personality out of fear !!!!😨

So please understand a room without letting the room decide who you are allowed to be🫶🩷

The girl doing something completely stupid in public 😂 and the girl standing in front of a room speaking about something she genuinely believes in are not two different personalities They’re just different expressions of the same person🤝😌

And maybe that’s something I’ve grown to really appreciate about people in general too the most interesting ones are rarely one thing to me

Someone can be ridiculous and brilliant.
Glamorous and deeply serious.
Soft and confrontational.
Strange and incredibly selfaware

Humans are contradictory I think that’s part of what makes us soooo interesting🤗

So yes I’ll read the room🧘‍♀️

I just won’t let the room write me🧚🩷
