The most beautiful blend of Byzantine, Gothic, and Islamic architecture, built centuries ago on over 100 tiny islands. Venice feels unreal and deserves all the hype it gets. I seriously can’t stop thinking about it.

I watched the sun rise and set over the Tuscan hills. Tanned topless and free in a beach full of nearly-naked women of all ages, shapes and sizes in Mallorca. Rode a bike past windmills and cows in the countryside of Amsterdam. Drove a car through questionable unpaved roads till I reached a beautiful beach in northern Greece.

I will never forget this summer. And I will never be able to express how much gratitude I feel for the couples who brought me everywhere with them. My heart overflows with happiness over this life I get to live doing what I love, with clients who I would have chosen as friends had I met them before. Euro season 2025 was unforgettable. Can’t believe I get to call this work, and I can’t wait for the next one. ❤️

Tokyo, Kyoto, Sapporo.

I have to admit, my desire to candidly photograph people on the street and in public spaces is often overshadowed by questions on whether it’s ethical, uncomfortable or unwanted. I know it’s technically ok, but is it ok in other ways? Do people want to be photographed? Do they want to be posted? I come back often to, “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.”
There were so many people on this trip I wanted badly to document. The stylish people on the train. The people worshipping at the temples. Cooks preparing meals. Every once in a while, I tried discreetly to do so. Sometimes I’d get caught. I always felt some sort of way about it. When I’m wearing my wedding photographer hat, it’s ok because it can be expected that you’ll be photographed at a wedding. When I was a journalist, it was ok because that was my job & I had a little laminated card that said I could. But as a non-credentialed, no-contract, regular person traveling with a camera, this is all something I struggle with. taken in Tokyo, Japan by @thelifeofzai
