Introducing the Sol Taíno Long Sleeve in sky blue. Cut from heavyweight 230 GSM cotton, it carries the Sun of Jayuya in chenille at its center, a radiant emblem of strength, vitality, and ancestral light.

The congas’ rhythm gathers what has been scattered, making room for freedom and resistance.

Relámpago: the flash that splits the sky and pulls everything into the present. As the first release from our Guabancex Collection, this snapback channels Taíno storm season, the force behind hurricanes. Lightning embroidery wraps the side panels, anchored by THE LINKS’ symbol, a yellow orchid representing life, resilience, and Caribbean identity.

A calm grey crown. A darker brim. Lightning stitched across the panels. The Relámpago Snapback is built as a statement piece you can wear daily, quiet from a distance, electric up close. #thelinksco #guabancex #taino #caribbean by @thelinksco

SHOP THE ANACAONA SHORT SLEEVE TEE
-
“Purest light and the best-balanced spirit of the island”.

Cacique Anacaona, was born in Yaguana, (Léogane, Haiti), in Xaragua, in 1474. She was a beautiful queen, with a powerful artistic vein that she could express through her areítos (poems). Her name is composed of two words "Ana" which means "Flower" and "Caona" which means "Golden", Golden Flower.

Anacaona died in 1503 in hands of Spanish rule after a long conflict against the domination that had looted and enslaved the entire Taíno population. It was because of her courage and her brave gestures in defense of the Taino population that Anacaona was arrested and sentenced to death. taken in The Bronx by @thelinksco

On September 23 1868, a multitude of puerto Ricans revolted for independence from Spain. “El Grito de Lares” is Puerto Rico’s first cry for independence after the Taino uprising of 1511. The rebellion took place in the small rural town of Lares, Puerto Rico. The flag was hand stitched by Mariana Bracetti, an anti-imperialist and poet. The flag was designed by Ramon Emeterio Betances.

The Lares flag is a symbol of resistance. Lares is known as the birthplace of Puerto Rican nationalism.
