I think it’s time for a little reintroduction! 👋

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve probably noticed this little account has gone through a few changes over the past several months. 😂

I’ve tried to figure out what this account is supposed to be. Turns out, I’d rather just let it be me.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I don’t really want to fit neatly into one box.

I’m in my 60s, retired, trying new things, building something of my own, and enjoying the freedom to do life a little differently than I used to.

Some days that looks like an adventure. Other days it’s a cappuccino, a home project, or finding something ridiculous to laugh about.🤪

I’ve loved every minute of this adventure. But after a month of translating signs, figuring out parking, navigating unfamiliar places, and wondering if I’m doing something wrong, my brain is ready for a little familiarity.😂

I’d say I’ll miss the cappuccinos, but guess who’s got a new machine waiting at home?☕️😍

Anyone else love traveling but eventually crave the comfort of home?

Who says you can’t start something new in your 60’s??😅

I’ve been looking for another stream of income, am already an avid Amazon shopper, & love to create content, so seems like a fit! We’ll see if they think so too, haha.

No idea where this will go but taking one step at a time and we shall see!👀

One thing about getting older? I’m getting a whole lot more comfortable being ME. 😂

I know what I like (and what I don’t), I’ve stopped feeling guilty about slowing down, and I’m taking a more intentional approach to my health and wellness.

Some things just take a few decades to figure out.😆🙄

One thing I’ve discovered about retirement and traveling in my 60s? Apparently, I have two completely different definitions of exercise.😂

On vacation, I’ll walk 20,000+ steps, climb 30 flights of stairs, and wake up the next morning ready to do it all again.

At home? 30 minutes in the weight room and I feel like I crushed the day, haha.

Please tell me I’m not the only one! Does anyone else have vacation energy that mysteriously disappears at home?

Retirement looks a little different these days!

Some days it’s exploring new places, some days it’s coffee and absolutely no plans. ☕️🙌🏼

And somewhere in the mix, there’s creating UGC for brands!

I love that this season of life can include travel, creativity, and even another stream of income. Because who doesn’t love having options?!

Retirement doesn’t have to be packed with plans to feel fulfilling. In fact, having a good balance can give you a sense of purpose while also allowing much deserved rest. Most of us have worked many years to get to this point!

I’ve found it helps to do each of these weekly: something that gives you a sense of accomplishment, something that keeps you connected, and something you do simply because you enjoy it.

Nothing complicated. Just a little intention. ❤️

What are your 3 this week?

MINE:

1. Deciding to learn another language (I still have to figure out which one, lol)

2. Walking around sightseeing and eating with friends.

3. Cappuccino and gelato every day while in Europe!😆

Vacation expectations vs. vacation reality. 😂

We had plans to spend the evening walking along the Canal Grande in Trieste and having a nice dinner with friends.

Instead, we couldn’t find anywhere to park the camper (stresssssful😱), drove another hour, and ended the night making grilled sandwiches in a parking lot.

And then I dropped one in the sink.😅🤦🏼‍♀️

But here’s the thing I’m learning over and over in this season of life. The day doesn’t have to go according to plan to still be a really good day.

I’m 63, retired, traveling through Europe with my husband, and some of my favorite memories are becoming the ones we never planned.☺️

Maybe that’s the secret. Make the plans, but don’t miss the life that happens when they change. ❤️

Sometimes you can’t see beyond the chapter you’re in.

You think the heartbreak, the loss, the mistake, or the unexpected ending has changed the whole trajectory of your life.

And maybe it has.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t something beautiful on the other side of it.

At 63, I can look back at things I never would have chosen, things I wish I’d done differently, and seasons I honestly didn’t know how I’d get through.

And yet, here I am. Still learning. Still growing. Still seeing new places. Still becoming.

If you’re in one of those hard chapters right now, please don’t assume you already know how the story ends. ❤️

There may be so much life waiting for you on the other side.
