As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on everything that has happened — both in my business and in my personal life — and my heart is truly full.

For my business, this has been one of the most incredible years yet. I was honoured and proud to be part of some very big events, and the love and support I’ve received has been nothing short of overwhelming in the best possible way. Every message, every order, every kind word — it means everything to me. The fact that so many people want my handmade items… it still stops me in my tracks sometimes. I love what I do with my whole heart, and I never take a single moment of this journey for granted. Thank you for lifting me up, cheering me on, and allowing me to share my creations with literally going all over the world.!

Personally, this year has held both sorrow and so much joy. Our family faced a heartbreaking loss, and that grief is still carried with us. But there has also been light — moments with my husband and my son along with good friends and new friends that remind me what truly matters, that remind me how loved and supported I am. I don’t take any of that for granted. I love fiercely, and I choose to surround myself with people who love us back, who show up, who bring kindness and accountability to the table. If you’re in my life, you’re there because you deserve a seat — and that’s something I’ve learned to honour deeply.

I’m also endlessly grateful for my fur babies, who bring joy into my days in the sweetest, simplest ways. They make our home feel full, warm, and loved.

This year has shown me how blessed I truly am — in business, in family, in friendship, and in the quiet moments in between. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my story this year. My heart is grateful, humbled, and ready for whatever comes next. by @thelittlethingsmb

Lately the Northern Lights have been dancing nonstop across our Manitoba skies… and I can’t help but feel inspired every single time. 💚💙✨
So I’m back at it — making another batch of my polar bear keychains and ornaments, plus some larger 5x3 art pieces that I’m so excited about.
I’ll also be creating howling wolves, Manitoba-shaped pieces, and even polar bear car diffusers.
Every swirl and shimmer is my interpretation of the lights we’ve been blessed with lately — this batch is my green & blue set, and honestly… I just love making them.

✨ Introducing my newest mini collection ✨
A little set that is so close to my heart. These pieces took time, intention, and a whole lot of love — and honestly, they might be some of my favourites I’ve ever created.

This collection features deep black bases paired with soft purple and pink florals… moody, elegant, and full of emotion. Every detail, done with intention and with care. And the findings on these pieces? Absolutely dreamy — the kind that make everything feel extra special and refined.

I poured so much of myself into these and I truly hope you feel that when you see them.
They’re bold, they’re romantic, they’re elegant … and they’re a reflection of everything I love about creating.

What an incredible week it’s been for the little things! The love for my new New Brunswick Collection has been absolutely amazing, and to top it off, my Manitoba wholesale orders are still rolling in!

To say I’m overwhelmed would be an understatement. 🥹❤️

Knowing that my handmade pieces continue to find their way into your homes, into shops, and into the hearts of people across Canada truly means more than I can put into words.

🍁 A little piece of New Brunswick, made with love. ❤️

I am so incredibly excited to finally share the beginning of my New Brunswick Collection!

When we made New Brunswick our home, I knew I wanted to create something truly special to honour this beautiful province that has already captured our hearts. I wanted to do it justice, and I wanted every piece to reflect the beauty and inspiration I find here.

Inspired by my much-loved Northern Collection, these pieces are created using layers of paint, beautiful mica powders, and plenty of patience. Each one is individually hand-painted, carefully detailed, and finished with resin to bring out that gorgeous shine and depth that I love so much.

This first design is available in ornaments, keychains, magnets, and pins.

And this is only the beginning! I have three more designs coming, each celebrating a little more of what makes New Brunswick so special.

There is something incredibly meaningful about creating pieces inspired by the place we now call home. I’ve poured so much love and care into this collection, and I truly hope that shines through in every single piece.

Archie. ❤️

The sweetest, gentlest, goofiest boy with the biggest personality…

He’s always been our timid guy, but we get to see the REAL Archie — silly, funny, loving, curious and apparently VERY qualified to help with absolutely everything. 😂

Whatever we’re doing, Archie needs to be right there… supervising, investigating and making sure the job is done properly. 😂🐾

He may not always realize how funny he is, but that just makes him even better.

Our sweet boy. Our shadow. Our very best helper.

A little behind-the-scenes peek at what really goes into these little Maple Leaf pins. 🍁

They’ve already been textured, cut, sanded and washed. This morning I’m adding the backings, and then the final step will be resin to make them nice and strong.

Another quiet morning in my workroom… and I’m only halfway done. 😂🍁

Lately, wholesale orders have been keeping me VERY busy — and it looks like they’ll be keeping me that way right through until mid-December. ❤️

And truly… I feel so incredibly blessed.

Knowing that shops continue to choose my work, and that people continue to love the pieces I create, is something I will never take for granted.

With all of the wholesale orders on my worktable, I don’t get to take on as many custom pieces as I used to. So when I do get the chance to create something a little different, I really love making it extra special. 🥰

These are a few recent custom orders, all completely different, but when I put them together I just had to take a photo. There’s something so beautiful about seeing all those individual ideas come to life in one little collection.

Busy hands. A very full worktable. And an even fuller heart.

Sometimes it feels like the work is never-ending… but truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

There are so many little steps that go into every piece I make, and I’ve learned to really love the process.

These quiet early mornings are some of my favourite times — sitting at my worktable, adding those final gold touches and then carefully applying resin. And not just to the fronts… I resin the backs too, because those little extra steps matter to me. They add durability, strength, and that finished quality I want every piece to have.

It takes more time. It means more steps. And sometimes it means a very long morning. 😂

But when something leaves my hands with the little things on it, I want it to feel like me. I want you to see the care in it.

I hope when you hold one of my pieces, you know just how much love, time and attention went into making it. 🤍

I’m pretty darn excited about this one. ❤️🌎

Knowing that items I’ve made with my own two hands have travelled to different places around the world will never stop amazing me — but this one feels extra special.

They’ve made their way to a place I have always dreamed of visiting myself, and honestly, the fact that a little piece of the little things is there makes me ridiculously happy.

I’m also so incredibly grateful to this wonderful lady who has supported my little business time and time again, purchasing my pieces and gifting them to people all over the world. That kind of support means more than I could ever put into words.

I guess I can officially say the little things has gone global — and that makes this maker pretty darn proud. 🥹

Always learning. Always creating. Always trying to make the little things a little better. 🤍

As an artist, a maker, and a small business owner, I’m constantly looking at what I create and wondering, could I do this a little differently? Could I make it even better?

I’ve been making and selling quite a few of my larger art pieces lately, and today I’m experimenting with something new. Instead of my usual resin background, I’m trying a very thin felt backing.

And you know what? I think I really like it. 😂 I’m still deciding, but I love the softer, finished feel it gives the piece. I may even start offering both options so you can choose the finish you love most.

Nothing is ever really “done” when you’re a maker. There’s always another idea, another little detail to try, and another way to grow.
