These Birkenstocks were made for the Japanese market and aren’t made anymore 🇯🇵 My bestie in Germany helped me get them, and a cobbler built in a 4cm lift on the right for my LLD. I didn’t realize my spine was compensating for my leg length discrepancy.

Once I got fitted with corrective shoes with that 4cm lift, things didn’t change overnight. I’ve spent years adjusting to them, and yeah—there have been painful side effects along the way. It’s been a process, not a quick fix.

But here’s what matters: it’s so much better than what I was going through before. That relentless pain. That constant struggle just to stand.

Looking at photos like this side by side reminds me how far I’ve come. I’m not in that place anymore.
