AMSA 26 SPOTLIGHT: Meilyn Torres 🎤

Two days out, and I got to sit down with @meilyntorresroa before she hits the Realtor Power Hour stage Wednesday.

Her story is actually insane. She was a chemist, a mathematician, and a senior scientist. In 2019 she took the 75-hour real estate class just so she could buy her first house the right way. Her first closing was her own house. Six months later she handed in her two-week notice and went all in.

Now she leads the Meilyn Torres Real Estate Group at Realty of America. Seven agents, and four of them have been with her for five years. That does not happen by accident.

In this episode we get into how she built the team (her first hire was her sister, who is still her admin today), why she says you cannot have a Plan A and a Plan B, and how her team is winning in a tough market right now: seller credits, rate buydowns, and actually educating buyers instead of panicking them.
