A little rain never stopped us, Mother Nature just wanted to cool things down for World Cleanup Day!

This was our 40th beach cleanup, and together we crushed the workout and removed over 150 pounds of trash from our coastline! 🌊♻️

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up and to our partners who continue to stand with us in our mission to keep the seas plastic-free. 💙

The positive energy, the smiles, the way people come together to rebuild their communities—it never gets old. Every cleanup and planting reminds us what’s possible when we work together. 🌱🌊

Sea oat plantings are just one of the many activations we offer, and they show the true power of teamwork and connection. 💪

Looking for a unique way to engage your team? Reach out for our teambuilding activations and help make a lasting impact on our coastlines.

Friendly reminder! Join us for FTL World Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 20 at the B Ocean Resort — back to our old stomping grounds.

Sometimes protecting our coastlines means rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty 🌱💪

Every sea oat planted helps anchor our dunes, shield our beaches from erosion, and create safe spaces for wildlife like sea turtles. 🐢

It’s more than planting—it’s preserving a future for our community, our coastline, and generations to come 🌊.

One sea oat at a time, we’re making a difference.

protect the dunes 🌾

dunes are incredibly important ecosystems that are often overlooked.

they’re not just piles of sand and plants for aesthetics…

they’re a living, breathing ecosystem teeming with life.

dunes are a habitat for wildlife, nesting grounds for many species, including turtles at times, and help reduce beach erosion while protecting our infrastructure.

however, beach development means the natural movement of these dunes has been disrupted, yet they’re so necessary that condo associations and local governments have to pay to maintain the dunes.

whether it’s storms or people walking and trampling the sensitive habitat, or just overdevelopment, dunes are going through it.

that’s why restoration projects like this are not only necessary but required.

shoutout to my good friend @therealmoosetography for teaching me a lot about dunes over the years!

this is something I’ve wanted to try, and thanks to @thelocaloctopus and @browardsf, I got the chance!

let me know if you have questions about dune restoration, my partner actually did his Masters summer internship on dune restoration 🌾

🌱✨ Today we volunteered and joined forces to plant sea oats along Fort Lauderdale Beach! These resilient plants help protect our shoreline from erosion, protecting habitat for wildlife, and keep our coastlines thriving.

Lee Gottlieb of the Adopt a Dune organization has been developing this sea oat planting technique over his 30 year career and it was an honor to learn from him.

Thanks @thelocaloctopus for organizing

Every dune we restore is a step toward a stronger, healthier ocean (and for the economic minded, keeping the beach in place keeps tourists around too). 💙🌊
