You put WHAT in your coffee? 👀☕️

Turmeric. Cinnamon. White willow bark.
Yes, really.

As an herbalist, I love finding ways to bring herbs into the rituals we already enjoy. That’s the idea behind our Anti-Inflammatory Wellness Coffee—rich coffee with a little more intention behind every cup. 🌿

Here’s what’s brewing:

✨ TURMERIC
This golden root has a long history of use for joint stiffness and occasional aches. It contains curcuminoids, including curcumin—plant compounds studied for their role in the body’s inflammatory pathways.

✨ CINNAMON
More than a delicious spice, cinnamon contains antioxidant compounds that help protect cells from oxidative stress. It also brings a naturally sweet, warming flavor that pairs beautifully with coffee.

✨ WHITE WILLOW BARK
The ingredient that probably made you do a double take. Traditionally used for occasional headaches, backaches, and minor joint pain, white willow bark contains salicin, which the body converts into salicylic acid. That’s where its historical connection to pain relief comes from.

Three thoughtfully selected herbs. One familiar morning ritual. ☕️

Which surprised you most—turmeric, cinnamon, or white willow bark? 👇

Discover our Anti-Inflammatory Wellness Coffee through the link in our bio.

Contains caffeine and white willow bark. Avoid if allergic to aspirin or salicylates; check with your healthcare professional before use if you take blood thinners. taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

Cortisol gets a bad reputation—but your body needs it. 🍵🌿

This essential hormone helps regulate energy, metabolism, and your response to stress. It also follows a daily rhythm, rising around waking and easing toward bedtime.

So when we talk about balance, we’re talking about supporting that rhythm and making room for recovery.

You asked. We listened. Introducing our NEW Cortisol Combo Pack: our Stress Relief + Energy teas, together in one thoughtful pairing.

🌿 Stress Relief Tea brings together oat straw, ashwagandha, skullcap, ginkgo, and clove for a comforting herbal ritual when it’s time to pause.

🌿 Energy Tea combines peppermint, eucalyptus, ashwagandha, ginkgo, and eleuthero root for a refreshing addition to your daytime routine.

Why pair them? Because caring for yourself means making room for both the demands of the day and the rest that follows.

Herbs can be part of that practice, alongside consistent sleep, nourishing meals, and movement. This pairing supports a daily wellness ritual.

Ready to make a little more room for yourself? Shop our new Cortisol Combo Pack through the link in our bio. 🍵 taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

As an herbalist, one of the things I care about MOST is the quality of the herbs we’re actually putting into our bodies. 🌿

Think about it: when you make a cup of herbal tea, you’re pouring hot water directly over the plant and allowing it to extract what’s inside.

That’s the whole point.

We want those beautiful, naturally occurring plant compounds in our cup. But that also means I care deeply about how that plant was grown, harvested, dried, stored and handled before it ever reaches your kitchen.

It’s why we choose organic herbs at The Loose Leaf.

And while “organic” is incredibly important to us, quality goes even further than that. We look for beautiful color, strong aroma, freshness and whole herbs you can actually SEE.

Because when you’re drinking something once, twice, even three times a day, quality matters.

Herbalism doesn’t need to be complicated.

Start with good plants.
Use them consistently.
Let the herbs do what they’ve been doing for generations. 🌿

That philosophy has been at the heart of The Loose Leaf since 2008.

Perimenopause doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it looks like restless nights, waking up drenched in sweat, irritability that seems to come out of nowhere, mood swings, changes in libido, or simply feeling like your body isn’t quite your own anymore.

That’s exactly why we created our Menopause Tea. 🌿

This herbal blend combines damiana, passionflower, feverfew, and cinnamon to support women through the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause.

🌿 Damiana has traditionally been used to support libido, mood, and the nervous system.

🌿 Passionflower helps calm an overstimulated nervous system, making it especially helpful for those restless nights when your body is tired but your brain has other plans.

🌿 Feverfew has traditionally been used for headaches and discomfort, including the hormonal headaches that can accompany changing cycles.

🌿 Cinnamon brings warmth to the blend while supporting healthy circulation and metabolic health.

Together, these herbs create a deeply calming daily ritual for the symptoms so many women experience during this transition: night sweats, restless sleep, irritability, mood changes, low libido, tension, and feeling overstimulated or out of balance.

And you don’t have to wait until your periods stop to start supporting your body. Perimenopause can begin years before menopause, and that’s often when women first start noticing these changes.

Steep a cup in the evening, make it part of your nightly routine, and give your body a little herbal support while it navigates this new season. 🌙🌿

In perimenopause or menopause? Save this reel and send it to a woman who needs to know she has options. Then tap the link in our bio to try our Menopause Tea. taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

Here’s my secret to blending herbs for BOTH flavor + health benefits 🌿

When I formulate a tea, I’m not just asking, “What herbs are good for you?” I’m thinking about how they work together, how they taste together, and what each herb brings to the final cup.

A perfect example: our Heavenly Hibiscus blend.

🌿 Lemongrass creates a fresh, citrusy base while bringing antioxidant and digestive-supporting properties.

🌺 Hibiscus gives the tea its beautiful tartness and deep color, while supporting cardiovascular health and providing powerful antioxidants.

🌹 Rose petals soften the tartness with a delicate floral note and add their own antioxidant compounds.

🍊 Orange peel rounds everything out with natural citrus oils, a little sweetness and another layer of antioxidant support.

The trick is balance.

Start with your softer, more drinkable base. Add your stronger medicinal or tart herbs in smaller amounts. Then use aromatic herbs, flowers, spices or citrus peel to bring everything together.

Because a tea can have incredible herbs in it, but if nobody actually enjoys drinking it consistently… what’s the point?

That’s the art of herbal formulation: function + flavor + consistency. 🌿

And after nearly two decades of blending herbs, I still think creating a formula that tastes beautiful AND serves a purpose is one of the best parts of being an herbalist. taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

Red raspberry leaf is one of those herbs I think every woman should know about. 🌿

It’s often associated with pregnancy, but its traditional use in women’s herbalism goes far beyond that.

Red raspberry leaf has long been used as a uterine tonic and is one of my favorite herbs for supporting women through menstrual cramping, heavy-feeling periods, and monthly discomfort. But what I really love about it is how nourishing it is.

It naturally contains minerals including calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron, making it a beautiful herb to incorporate consistently throughout the different stages of a woman’s life.

And sometimes that’s what herbal medicine looks like. Not something complicated. Not 14 different supplements.

Just a simple, nutrient-rich plant you can brew into your daily cup of tea. 🌿

In fact, we love red raspberry leaf so much that you’ll find it in three of our women’s blends:

🌿 Replenish Tea — for daily nourishment, hydration, and mineral support.

🌿 PMS Tea — formulated to support the body through the hormonal shifts and discomfort surrounding your cycle.

🌿 Healthy Pregnancy Tea — where red raspberry leaf has traditionally been used to support and tone the uterus throughout pregnancy.

One herb supporting women through so many different seasons of life. And exactly why red raspberry leaf will always have a place in my herbal cabinet. 🤍 taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

Stress relief isn’t just about calming down in the moment. 🌿 It’s about supporting your nervous system every single day.

Our Stress Relief Tea was formulated as a daily herbal tonic to help the body better adapt to stress, support healthy cortisol balance, promote more restful sleep, and bring the nervous system back into a calmer rhythm.

Inside the blend:

🌾 Oatstraw — deeply nourishing to the nervous system and traditionally used for stress, tension, and nervous exhaustion.

🌿 Ashwagandha Root — an adaptogen that helps the body adapt to ongoing stress and supports healthy cortisol levels, sleep, and overall resilience.

🌿 Ginkgo — supports healthy circulation and cognitive function, especially when stress leaves you feeling mentally drained or foggy.

🌿 Skullcap — one of my favorite calming herbs for nervous tension, anxious feelings, restlessness, and those moments when your nervous system feels completely overstimulated.

🤎 Clove — warming, antioxidant-rich, and supportive of digestion and circulation while beautifully rounding out the blend.

This is a tea you can absolutely reach for during periods of heightened stress or anxious feelings, but I love it even more as a consistent daily tonic.

Especially with adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, consistency matters. Think less “quick fix” and more daily support for a body that deals with stress every single day.

Drink 1–3 cups daily and make it part of your routine. Your nervous system deserves a ritual, too. 🌿 taken in The Loose Leaf Tea by @thelooseleaftea

Pain relief… from a cup of tea? 🌿

This is one of those blends where the ingredients tell the whole story.

Our Pain Relief Tea is a simple but powerful blend of just three herbs:

🌿 White Willow Bark — traditionally used for pain, inflammation, headaches, joint discomfort and arthritis. It naturally contains salicin, a compound the body converts into salicylic acid and that helped inspire the development of aspirin.

🌿 Kava Root — traditionally used to help relax tense muscles, calm the nervous system and ease the tension that can make physical discomfort feel even worse.

🌺 Hibiscus — antioxidant-rich and traditionally used to support a healthy inflammatory response, while giving this earthy blend a bright, tart finish.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic aches, occasional pain, sore joints, arthritis discomfort or an overworked body, this is one of those blends worth keeping in your daily ritual.

How we recommend drinking it:
Steep and enjoy one 8 oz cup up to 3 times throughout the day, or brew 24 oz at once and sip it as needed.

Because sometimes the most interesting medicine cabinet is actually your herb cabinet. 🌿

Herbs can interact with medications and aren’t appropriate for everyone. White willow bark contains salicylates, and kava has important medication and liver-related precautions. Check with your healthcare professional if you’re pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a medical condition.
