👋 Meet Jorge!

Family is what motivates him every day. He strives to make them proud while continuing to grow and find balance in his own life.

Outside of the office, Jorge enjoys running and is already preparing for his 8th marathon in 2026 🏃‍♂️

One of his favorite memories is hosting a pizza party for his family, bringing everyone together for great food and even better company 🍕❤️

Fun fact: Jorge has co-hosted and produced multiple podcasts and worked on a storytelling project that celebrated the diversity and unique experiences of people across Chicago 🎙️🌆

His favorite song is Kick, Push by Lupe Fiasco because it reminds him of the resilience needed to overcome life’s challenges and keep moving forward.

Miles for those we lost in service. Though they are no longer here, we have to keep their names & memories alive. I’ve posted something similar years ago. “Laughing at or belittling the accomplishments of your women peers-especially when they match or surpass yours—is peak toxic masculinity.”

The US Men hockey team’s gold medal locker room celebration has been talked about a lot already. But…

… there’s a reason why it’s very important to continue to bring it up. Especially when it’s so easily dismissed by the players themselves. We men need to be better than that and should not hesitate to call out toxic masculinity when it presents itself. Fortunately, most of the guys I know that will read this already completely understand that. But it’s also important that we call it out publicly so the young men in our lives know it’s okay to call it out too. We need to set the example that being judged by other men (or boys) for being “soft” or “too sensitive” for standing up against misogynistic acts and ideals pales in comparison to doing what’s right by advocating for women.

I have failed at this many times in my life. I have not been the best advocate. But it’s never too late to change and to grow. Because the work it takes for personal growth as a man is nothing compared to the toxicity of men that women have to endure on a daily basis. We have to be better examples for the young men in our lives for the sake of our mothers, sisters, and friends. It is not an exaggeration to say that their very lives depend on it. by @thelopez23

🧡 Team Santiago Thanksgiving Food Drive 2025 🦃

📣 Calling all of Belmont-Cragin & Hermosa neighborhood residents and business owners 🗣️

Team Santiago is coming together to spread kindness & hope this Thanksgiving, and we’d like to invite you to join us.

We’re collecting non-perishable Thanksgiving side dishes — items like beans, mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, stuffing, gravy mixes, and more — to help our community enjoy a warm holiday meal during these challenging times.

📅 Donation Dates: November 1st – November 21st
📦 Drop-Off Location: 5027 W Armitage Ave (look for the State Farm banner in the plaza)
📞 Call Us: 773-637-3900
⏱️ Hours of Operation: Mondays-Thursdays 9a to 6p, Fridays 9a to 4p and Saturdays 9a to 1p

🦃 Donation Distribution Day:
Monday, November 24th | 10 AM – 5 PM

Families from the Belmont-Cragin & Hermosa neighborhood can pick up their Thanksgiving goods at our office or request home delivery. All information will be kept confidential. Please call us prior to Friday, Nov. 21st to add you to our donation distribution list!

In a time when many local families are struggling to feel safe, we’re standing together to make a difference.
Please share this with any family you know that is being affected by the current climate and urge them to call us so we know who we can help.
