New homie @michaelshellenbergerart on deck. Absolutely floored by this guys creative palette. I absolutely couldn’t resist posting a lil cheeky rough clip from tracking drums yesterday. @bradleypallone and I are so so stoked to help bring Michael’s vision to life. If you look closely you can see my right hand tryna fill in the gaps. I let instinct take over and just let it do what it wanted to on the back half of this phrase. Stoked I caught another Bob Ross moment on camera. Happy accidents mane 🫡 *shoutout to my dawg @cameron_flaisch for the cheeky black beauty he lemme fux with* errbody knows imma @ludwigdrumshq super fan boi 😅😅😅😅

**🎧 cuz Charles Leclerc said so** Another year in the books. Lately writing has been a bit elusive. I finally found it again late last night. Then got up today n added drums. Some cool moments of me tryna chase the one in the middle here. I am contemplating doing an entire album of these weird / ambient / sound scapey / ethereal moods. Would ya’ll dig that? Anyways I wrote this as a catharsis. Last year was filled with a ton of loss. I struggled big time but ended on an even keel and have a lot to look forward to. I wanted to write something to embody that. The lowest lows and the juxtaposition of a new found hopefulness. Catharsis. This is: ‘slow motion picture frames.’

****I offer custom groove sorcery for anyone who’s interested. Writing / demo’ing and need some real drums instead of getting lost in the bowels of splice? Or maybe you just need some real drums for your recording session / project? Whatever it might be shoot me a DM I’d be happy to oblige.**** by @thelordmangus

2 moods: Will the delay of the DFX-1 trip you up or nah? | what if I shuffle over this drone I made on the S4 that I absolutely let sneak into the red?? 😅😅😅

#mangusmotivational on Saturday mane. Do you have things to say as an artist? If so, how are you navigating it when you collab with other artists/creatives? I think there’s a ton of interesting nuance here bru let’s run it up in the comments 👀 taken in LV-426 Zeta Reticuli System by @thelordmangus

We get by with a little help from our friends.

Thursday night's EP showcase was a beautiful reminder that doing the good work and making great things happen means surrounding yourself with great people and a strong community.

Everyone who showed up, family, friends, and everything in between, you've been that for us this whole first stretch of the journey.

And we ain't even close to done!

Thank you to all the friends and family who came out to support, and a special shout out to @badearl , @patternblueproductions , @nathan.james.allen , @pigeon.atl , @allihearisbirds , and our dear friend @abjollyrogers , and @jgossa_photo for this first batch of badass photos.

DRIFTWOOD EP is available to stream wherever you get your music. We've also got CDs out if that's your vibe, and vinyls on the way.

It's going to be a good time.

Thanks for coming along for the ride fools. taken in The EARL by @thelordmangus

While all ya’ll writing drums on a midi grid @bradleypallone and I are climbing in the syncopation station to ask the hard questions in order to push the envelope of our shared musical vocabulary (you’ll see soon enough 😜) Do you hear the possibilities with what the guitars would be doing here?? How honed are your active listening skills? Hit the comments mane let’s tap in 📡

Running it back. Wanted to push the DFX-1 into the red and just fackin send it. Some desirable results, some additional EQ def was needed but did my best to play it where it lies 😅🫡

Mangus R&D department reporting in 🫡😅😂 Today’s attempt was to try n get the DFX-1 to distort and crush. Clip it hard all aggro AF. Learning this thing is as close as I’ll get to being an actual guitarist - or so I’d imagine this is what it feels like. I do love this wierd gadget - biggest gripe thus far is if I start twisting knobs I lose the BPM I saved. Gotta figure out if there’s a way to store it. 🤔
