[ 50 Years of marriage!

I’ve been privileged to grow up in a household that wasn’t afraid of love in every sense of the word. Unconditional, hard, easy, undeserved, painful, and most importantly, Godly love. There were many times I didn’t deserve the love my parents gave me, yet they gave it freely anyway.

Just as they made a commitment to love their kids, they made a commitment to each other 50 years ago, and they’ve kept it.

It wasn’t always perfect, but it was always consistent. They never gave up on each other, and they never gave up on our family.

Their example has shown me that marriage isn’t temporary, it’s forever. I look forward to carrying that same spirit of love and commitment into my own life, whenever I find my #WineWife.

50 years seems impossible in today's dating climate, but that becomes the standard when you believe in traditional values founded in biblical principles.

I see these photos every day, and they serve as a reminder of what is possible.

Happy 50th Anniversary, Mom and Dad. I love you! ] by @thelordofwine

[ I enjoy writing... although I don't claim to be a "writer" (I'll reserve that title for the real professionals), however, I get the honor of my impassioned thoughts and words being published in various publications.

Check out my latest article "2026 Wine Trends" out now in Vegas Legal Magazine. I share my thoughts on the hottest wine trends for 2026... read till the end, my recommendations may surprise you 😲

PARLOUR SOMMELIER WINE OF THE WEEK

2014 Small Vines Pinot Noir
Estate Cuvée
Russian River Valley

Hailed as one of the most exciting growing seasons winemaker Paul Sloan has experienced at Small Vines, we are proud to feature this beautiful, organically grown Pinot Noir.

If you love Burgundy, you’ll love this grower-produced expression from the Russian River Valley. Expect layers of bright Bing cherry, dark cherry cola, wild strawberry, subtle baking spice, and earthy undertones. Silky in texture with beautifully integrated acidity and a long, elegant finish.

A stunning example of how gracefully Russian River Pinot Noir can age.

Available this week at Parlour Wine Bar & Eatery. Ask our sommelier for it!! by @thelordofwine
