I asked my husband what he’s learned since becoming a stay at home dad and was so surprised by his response.

Here’s what he said ⤵️

1. The amount of patience you have to have with children is not spoken about enough. Overstimulation is real! They’re not adults. They’re learning and they aren’t responsible for your moods.

2. Equally dividing your time between four different children who have completely different personalities and needs is emotionally and mentally draining.

3. Dinner just might not be done on time. Too many things are happening when you have two under two. Sometimes they don’t sleep at the same times and I can’t start dinner until the second parent is home.

I’m honestly relieved and wish I would’ve asked sooner because our situation is temporary so when the roles reverse, it’s nice to know I’ll be given some grace. I highly recommend leaving your kids’ father with the kids without contact so he understands IT TAKES WORK and RESILIENCE!
