THE MA BRAND started because I wanted to pay for my Netflix subscription during COVID. I wanted to be able to pay for little things without always asking my sister. Somehow, that simple desire for a little financial independence became the beginning of something much bigger. Six years later, The MA Brand is still here. What started as a way to make extra money has taught me so much about business, balance, consistency, financial freedom, resilience, and what it truly means to build something of my own. It hasn’t always been easy. We started off with the sales of perfumes and then, we added skincare products a year after. We also had to change our name from THE MACOLLECTION to THE MA BRAND. It was a very painful decision and along the way, there have been slow months, mistakes, doubts, and moments when I questioned how far I could really take this. Balancing school and business was far from easy. There were many times I considered shutting the brand down completely. But even when things felt overwhelming, I kept showing up. Because somewhere along the way, The MA Brand stopped being just about paying for Netflix. It became about creating something meaningful, something I could grow, believe in, and be proud of. To everyone who has ever bought from us, recommended us, shared our content, or supported The MA Brand in any way, we say thank you. Six years later, we’re still building. And this is my why.
