It's that time of the year where we start preparing to bless the children and families in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

This year makes 20 years.

Today is Christmas Eve 🎄 🎅🏽🤶🏽 and we spent this morning at @childrensnational with @worldclasstraveler365 on behalf of her organization @themacfoundation in honor of her son Malik, for the past several years we attempt to bring joy with a toy 🎁🧸🪀🪁 to the children spending Christmas in the pediatric intensive care unit aka PICU; a few little girls received special @orijinbees dolls 🤗

Over the years former @commanders WR Joshua Morgan Sr and I have made this visit with Lisa and her mother (the Sgt! 😝) Ms. Geneva, sister Cyndi, @thepitsleague founder @p3ttis , @supastar32 and countless other special guests wanting to make a child and/or their parents smile.

Today was extra special as it’s the 1st time I recall us making the visit on Christmas Eve.💫🎄✨

This year @xactdetail and the lovely homegrown actress @javicia (catch her in her new holiday movie “The Christmas Detective” streaming on @hbomaxes as well as @betplus “The Family Business”) joined us as we made the room to room rounds, with the amazing hospital staff (although they were awesome, I must say I missed “the Mayor Paulette” and Nurse Christy 🤗)

I can’t explain how; even if just for a brief moment seeing a child and their parent’s faces light up from the surPRise brings joy to us as well and also knowing we’re carry out Malik’s wish to share the joy of Christmas with his fellow patients…
