Hit the deep water this trip and managed to find a good rock loaded with 8-10kg reds in 120 meters. Put on 14 good ones of this one rock before the bait moved on and the fish left with them.. also got 4 nice purple cod with the reds..
These are the isolated rocks that make for good trips.. sharks were out of control in the 60-70 meter grounds so had to go deep and I’m glad I did..

I had the pleasure of taking one of my mates sons @hugo_mcinerney on a commercial trip last week.. We were blessed with great conditions and fishing.. The sharks were very hungry and we both lost some awesome fish to the dreaded tax man.. here’s a cracker green jobfish well over 10kg that got taxed heavily.. We ended up eating what was left on the fish sashimi for our dinner that night.
Green jobfish is one of the best sashimi fish out there I reckon!!

One of the better reds I got this week.. found a new rock and pulled 6 good reds like this one off it as well as a few nice large mouth and a couple of the biggest spango’s I’ve ever caught.. one of the spangos went 4.6kg loving this better weather we have been having and actually spent 4 days of the last 5 out on the reef with a couple of those being absolute glass offs..
