Unpopular opinion: LinkedIn can actually make you ambitious.

If you told me this two ago, I would have laughed with tears in my eyes.

LinkedIn generally used to the OPPOSITE.

But the space has actually shown me that I’m not thinking big enough AT ALL.

Women my age being chosen for opportunities, simple beaches they are visible and well positioned.

People asking for opportunities BOLDY and actually getting them 🤯

Being in close proximity to people I have admired for years (I would have never made it out of their IG requests folder I promise 😂🫠).

This same ambition is what has helped me layed the foundations of my business @themagneticbuild

And if you’re building anything as a B2B founder or creator entrepreneur, this isn’t a platform you’ll want to skip.

Waiting for the “things to get better” or easier may not always be the answer.

Share in the messy stage.
Share in the building stage.

I got WAY more clarity on my career and business trajectory by posting when things seemed “rough”.

Still showing up.
Still having conversations and being LOUD about what I do, so I can find my way into the right rooms 💅🏾

And if you’re a creator, don’t wait until the algorithm decides to punish you for no reason (seen it, been there - wouldn’t recommend) before you make your expertise known.

Showing up will just increase your chances of being called in for more aligned clients and projects.

January 2027 could be thanking you for a September 2026 decision.

I’ve seen it.
Lived it.

As someone who decided to pay attention to personal branding, within my 9+ years in marketing and helped 10 founders & solopreneurs build their personal brands, you begin to notice a few things.

1️⃣ There’s nothing like repetition in their books.
They will happily tell you the same concept in 12 different ways, just so you finally make that association with them.
That’s how authority is built and sustained.
Sticking to what you believe and sharing that insight over and over again.

2️⃣ Not being afraid of having an opinion that doesn’t fit the norm.
I don’t mean being extremely controversial. I mean just giving you a different perspective, without fear.

3️⃣ Being open to sitting in rooms where they are the the puppy in the room (basically, where more experienced people are present).
They understand that there’s always another level to learn from and add to their life and expertise.
An expert doesn’t mean you are void of learning.

Invest in that call.
Invest in that strategy session.
Get in the room where the conversations challenge you.

This applies to anyone building something.

Once this reality sets in, you move veryyyyyyy differently.

I had my wake up call when the job market was not responding the way I expected to. Now, it’s way worse.

You have to create those opportunities for yourself.

Use your expertise to get you into rooms and attract opportunities that actually pay.

A lot can happen when you decide to choose yourself.

Many people are just a 10:15 email scheduled by HR, for it all to@be taken away and they are back at square 1.

That happened to me in 2023 on a Thursday afternoon.

I remember thinking “howwww could this happen to me. I’m actually good at what I do”. But hun, that didn’t matter.

I had to choose myself.
And that’s when I remembered that I had been building towards a life that actually suited me.

I decided to ensure my insights could have somewhere to live, no matter the circumstance or opportunity I found myself in.

Best. Move. Ever🤏🏾

Let your insights have somewhere to live. I chose @linkedin and it’s put money in my account and opportunity in my email.

All without the need to be famous and have a huge following (made my first 4 figures with only 1.5K followers on LinkedIn 🤷🏾‍♀️💅🏾).

Positioning with your zone of genius 💡🤌🏾

That’s how she saw $1.2M from this launch.

@jessijeanhome is the blueprint for correct market positioning that we need to applaud her for.

I know that there are many more success stories that are about to come out of this, just by noticing this exact key.

She positioned herself before launch, and that’s exactly what you need to be doing in your space.

You might be in corporate or building something of your own, think of positioning before anything is even ready to sell.
People will grab it because you’ve sown the seeds in that direction.

I did this in my UGC & creative strategy career, so it didn’t take me long to start landing aligned clients, based on how I was positioning myself in the market.
Your zone of genius is your competitive edge.

Visibility puts you in a position of having more options and choice.
But the assumption that this can only happen when you’ve gone viral, is the biggest LIE I see so many skilled people subconsciously living by!

That is holding you back biggggg time.

I remember a post that got 2 likes and 80 impressions actually got an inquiry from a 6 figure agency who needed my strategy consulting services for their business.
This was the same post I was about to delete btw😵‍💫

When you’re strategic about how you actually position yourself, visibility becomes the least of your worries… and for good reason too 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’ve NEVER gone viral - but I’ve made 5 figures from being correctly positioned and strategically visible in various spaces.

It saved me in times and seasons that I had noooo idea what was about to hit me 😮‍💨

My aim is to be advocate for correct market positioning and strategic visibility, no matter the space you find yourself in right now.

My clients always tell me that they leave our calls with a sense of clarity on how they can position themselves for better opportunities and clients 💅🏾
