I think this might be my favourite @seilrecords cover yet! And the work contained within is typically gorgeous from @thelifted.index. Beautiful work all round.

After years of debate I finally just went and got a Digitakt. Good news for all existing Digitakt fans though, because when I buy something it means that a V2 will be announced within days….😂

My new album “Failing Memory” is out now on most streaming platforms. The bedrock of the album is this lovely old Kay acoustic, repurposed as a nylon string guitar. I also used it to sample individual notes, then repitch and alter them to become “oscillators” of a kind. For the guitar nerds, it lives in tuning Eb, G, C, g, b flat, d (which I believe might be the same tuning as the incredible “No True Masterpiece Will Ever Be Complete” by Kaki King). Hope you enjoy it.

Being a huge fan of @alaskantapes I watched and rewatched his super series of YT videos on making ambient tracks from scratch. In the videos, he uses this guy, The Mangle, extensively. And now I do too….😁

This is the title track from my new album “Failing Memory”, out today on Bandcamp. It’s a mixture of gentle acoustic guitar, synthesis and some noisy samples. It was mastered by the great Ian Hawgood. I hope you find something you like on there. Thanks for listening.

“Lull” by @_ambalek is a sonic salve and a complete gem of an album. Also, remarkably fast shipping by @seilrecords (as always)!

So honoured to be part of this great compilation, which features members of the @jogginghouse Discord group , with proceeds going to Ukraine via @germanredcross. Thanks to Jogging House for organising it all, @tomtebby for the beautiful artwork and @time_rival for his stellar mastering. It’s obviously great to be able to do something (however small) for a great cause, but it feels extra special doing it in the company of the friendliest and most supportive community on the internet. Thanks for supporting!

First foray into 4-track. Must learn to embrace the warble and noise…
