We’re so excited to finally share what we’ve been working on for winter. ✨ After a brilliant summer of outdoor Makers Fairs, we’re bringing The Maker’s Fair back to the heart of the community in Fiveways. Fiveways is where it all began for us, so it feels particularly special to be returning with a brand new Fiveways Community Fair on Saturday 21st November @stmatthiasbtn and it's also very special working on the with my lovely friend @touch.press.studio ❤️ We’re bringing together a carefully curated collection of independent artists, craftspeople and makers as well as fundraising for two special local causes @stmatthiasplaycafe And @strsupportcafe This winter, we’re creating a little series of Brighton Makers Fairs — bringing the same trusted curation and beautiful, original work into some much-loved local spaces. 14 November — St George's, Kemptown 21 November — Fiveways Community Fair 5 December — All Saints Hove Special thanks to @consbea for creating the artwork See you there! by @themakersfair

What a weekend! Thank you so much to everyone who came to visit us at Standen House & Garden. We had such a lovely time celebrating another brilliant weekend of makers and beautiful things. And just like that, our larger-scale fair season comes to an end! But… we’re already looking ahead 👀 We have some exciting announcements coming soon — new venues, new dates, exciting opportunities and some brilliant new partnerships and collaborations for 2027. What a great start to @themakersfair! ☀️ Lovely weather, a fantastic buzz and the Croquet Lawn and Goose Green filled with talented makers setting up their stalls and sharing their work. There’s an amazing selection of beautiful, handmade crafts to discover, from contemporary design to traditional skills, with live demonstrations taking place throughout the fair. A huge thank you to all our visitors and exhibitors for making day one such a great one – and to the behind-the-scenes team who worked hard to get everything ready. And there are still two days to come! Join us at Standen this Saturday and Sunday, 10am–4pm, to browse the stalls, meet the makers, see craft demonstrations and soak up the atmosphere of this special Arts & Crafts setting. The Makers Fair is free with normal admission to Standen. No booking needed. It’s almost time! The marquee is up, the flags are flying, and now all we need is our amazing makers – and you! Standen @themakersfair starts tomorrow, bringing three days of beautiful, high-quality craft, with a carefully curated collection of independent artists, designers and makers from across the South East. Discover exceptional handmade work, meet the people behind the pieces and watch traditional and contemporary craft demonstrations throughout the weekend. With around 50 stalls to explore, there’ll be plenty to discover, from contemporary design and handmade treasures to traditional skills being kept alive. 📅 Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September ⏰ 10am–4pm 📍 Standen House and Garden And there’s a little extra reason to come along… 🎁 Visit the Makers Fair this weekend and you’ll receive free entry to our next Makers Fair in May 2027 – so you can return next spring to discover a whole new collection of independent makers and their work. If you’re planning to come along, you’ll find us down on Manor Lawn, right in front of the house. From the reception entrance, simply follow the left-hand path down towards the lawn. We’re tucked under the stretch tent, with fresh lemonade and iced coffees from @cairo_van to keep you refreshed. 🍋☕️ ✨ 35 wonderfully talented makers ✨ Beautiful, handmade and thoughtfully designed pieces ✨ A gorgeous setting at Sheffield Park & Garden Come and have a browse, meet the makers and make a day of it. The route via Lewes, Cooksbridge, Chailey and Newick is a good option from the Brighton/Lewes direction. There’s free parking on site. Just one week to go until The Maker’s Fair arrives back at @sheffield_park_and_garden for three days of amazing stalls and crafts celebrating local makers. Here from Fri 14 - Sun 16 Aug, you can enjoy the beauty of the garden and views across the lake from the mansion lawn, whilst discovering a diverse selection of handcrafted work, from heritage crafts such as willow weaving and metalwork to contemporary ceramics, printmaking and jewellery. Live demonstrations will also be held throughout the weekend, bringing traditional skills to life. We hope you can join us for this special event.
