We are thrilled to share an exciting new chapter for the North Carolina Children’s Museum (NCCM)!

For much of this year, with the support of a major funder, we have been exploring an extraordinary opportunity to transform the existing Imperial Centre in Rocky Mount into the flagship campus of the North Carolina Children’s Museum. Following approval by the Rocky Mount City Council, it's official!

As part of this exciting transition, The Makery will be relocating from Boxyard RTP to our new flagship campus in Rocky Mount!

The campus offers a fantastic dedicated makerspace where we can build on everything that makes The Makery special while introducing creative, hands-on learning opportunities to a new community. With additional spaces including pottery, painting, and dance studios, the campus will offer even more opportunities to explore creativity across a wide range of art forms and disciplines.

The Makery's last day of operation at Boxyard RTP will be Saturday, October 24th. We hope you'll join us for our final week of Open Maker Sessions as we celebrate the creativity, connections, and memories made in this space. Register for one of our final Open Maker Sessions with the link in bio.

While we're saying goodbye to our RTP location, we're excited for all that's ahead!
