One of my favorite classes to offer is Mommy & Me Watercolor 💛 definitely a Making Circle original 🩷🩷

Mom gets a quick 5–10 minute guided drawing lesson & then the little one gets to go absolutely ham with the watercolors. 😆🎨

We bring the two together for a one of a kind keepsake to hang on your wall!

It's all about embracing the chaos of a toddler in our structured adult lives!

While our regular group classes are taking a little break as we redesign and improve our studio space, we're busy stocking up on fresh supplies and getting everything ready for summer creativity! ☀️🎨

In the meantime, we're still offering a limited number of private and semi-private art lessons in our cozy backyard studio in Santa Clarita.

It's been so much fun gathering new materials, organizing supplies, and planning personalized projects for each young artist. We can't wait to share what's coming next for The Making Circle! 💛

Interested in summer private lessons? Send me a message for availability and details.

While we pause our regular group classes for a bit to work on some exciting behind-the-scenes things at The Making Circle, we’ve got a great opportunity for families looking for a little creative downtime during the craziness of summer ☀️🎨

I’m opening a limited number of private summer art sessions!

These are cozy 1-on-1 (or semi-private with a friend/sibling!) classes held in my backyard studio in Santa Clarita and designed to give kids focused attention, creative confidence, and a really special hands-on experience.

It’s such a nice way to give kids something calm, creative, and consistent to look forward to each week while still keeping summer schedules flexible and relaxed 💛

Families can choose a 4-week focus in:
• Drawing
• Painting
• Mixed Media
• Guided Crafts
• STEAM Projects

✨ 1 hour a week
✨ All supplies included
✨ $60/hour
✨ Semi-private discounts available for small groups

Perfect for kids who love to create, explore, and make something exciting to bring home each week.

Spots will be very limited for summer! Message me if you'd like details or want to reserve a spot.

I've been asked a few times to show my own art work!
This page isn't about me though, it's about the kiddos, but I know it's important because I'm their teacher!

Well, I haven't gotten to sit and dive deep into an art project for a very long time. I haven't quite figured out how to do that with having kids!

So, not only are these classes for the kiddos, but they're also for me. These classes are my windows of opportunity to meet my artsy self again. No better way of doing that than sharing what I love with our next generation.

With that being said, here are some of my projects 🥰

Our caterpillar friends are completed! Testing all these fun projects for the future of The Making Circle is so so exciting.

If you want to build your own caterpillar, just get an egg carton (grown up must cut it!), pipe cleaners, googly eyes, & paint!

Experimentation is in full swing here at The Making Circle!

As we pause our classes to revamp our space, we are also testing out new activities to bring to our families!

Must be fun for a 3 year old who's mama always needs a volunteer 😝. Can't wait to reopen and share all the fun explorations with you all as well 💓.

As usual, recyclable materials are so amazing & fun when you let them be!

This activity definitely passed the test and would be a part of an open play ages 2-3 class 😁

The Making Circle is taking a little pause .

I’ve been reflecting on the space, the experience, and what I truly want this to feel like for both kids, parents, and adults in general… and I’m giving myself the time to thoughtfully reshape it.

Something new is being created behind the scenes — more aligned, more intentional, and even more magical.

In the meantime, I’ll still be here sharing little glimpses, Sunday craft ideas, and moments from the creative process.

Thank you for being here while this evolves… I can’t wait to show you what’s coming.

Here's a cool experiment that y'all should try.

We've got blocks but two different materials of blocks. Light foam and dense wood.

Use this to explore structure, balance, weight, and stability.

It's super interesting to watch how differently each material behaves, even though the shape is mostly the same.
Such a fun way to explore building in a more intentional way.

SUNDAY CRAFT SHARE ☀️

All you need is sunshine and a pencil for this one
Place toys, leaves, or objects outside and have your child trace the shadows they create.
Then move them and watch how the shapes change!

This activity builds:
✨ observation skills
✨ early science understanding
✨ creativity

It’s simple, fun, and a great way to explore how light works.

Save this for your next sunny day!
